Real or no? Will Smith slapped Chris Rock for joking about Jada at the Oscars

And these same comedians never want to be held accountable for what they say. They think being a comedian gives them the right to be reckless and that's just not how this works.

They can talk all the shit they way. They just better be ready for what that shit talking brings.

That really dont matter is if its not unusual.

And its not mentally healthy to go through so many emotions in such a short period of time.

What is that based on? Our emotions are usually dependent on the stimuli we encounter. If you encounter a bunch of crazy stimuli in a short amount of time, you're likely to have a bunch of strong emotions over that same time span. Now, if you have a bunch of wild emotional shifts with no clear stimuli, then that probably is unhealthy.

Serious question. Is everyone in here who think Rock was wrong cool with that kind of comedy just cancelled or banned in general? I can respect people who look at roasting as bad across the board and would prefer it not be done ever. I can't respect people who love that shit until it's turned onto someone they like and then it becomes a problem.

It's coming

Stand up comedy as we know it will die off ... Cos now folks can put their hands on comedians if they don't like a joke

Started with Chapelle and his alleged 'transphobia'

man...this ish could f up some of my comedy experiences cuz i know a lot of these katz be performing in these hole in the wall type clubs. Prime atmosphere for ish to jump off....Boston got a few i liked to go too.. looks like me and the misses might have to stick to stadium/venue type places

Chapelle was rewarded with more stand up specials after last years most recent one amd not 1 person actually ran up or tried him...so if that's the end result comedians are pushing for then thats not really a bad consequence

Comedians been dealing with and sometimes fighting hecklers or people that aint fuck with their jokes... I doubt this will change anything

We can say that, but folks seeing it play out live and at the oscars can make it a much more common occurrence. You know folks wanna go viral

Yeah, I don't know. Some of these comments are silly to me.

It's one thing if a comedian is zoning in on one person with mean spirited attacks masked as jokes. That comedian should watch his mouth. But are we really in here talking like light ribbing like what Chris Rock did yesterday was punch worthy. He went down the line joking on people and Will and Jada were kee keeing it up. When it's their turn, suddenly that kinda comedy needed to be punished.

If Rock knew about Jada's condition and her sensitivity about it, then I guess I see why people are saying he should have watched his mouth. But if he really just thought Jada was sporting a new hairdo, I have a hard time believing people really think a G.I. Jane joke crossed some kind of reasonable line for comedy.

I didnt watch what happened before he said something about Jada.

So he made jokes about other folks before getting to her?

I read somewhere someone said this might end up being bad for comedians all over....People feeling offended(justified or not) by something a comedian says that they could just get up and do ish...and you know there are plenty of people that are stupid enough to think they can do what WIll did.

I still think Will was a clown in my opinion because u were laughing at first. Dont switch AFTER THE fact you laughed. I am all over "honoring your wife", and I do feel C.Rock shouldn't of made a joke out of her medical condition, but i think Will didn't handle it correctly.

This won't change shit. If a nigga now feels empowered to run up on a comic because he saw rich ass super famous Willard Smith do it then he's a dumbass who would do something stupid anyway.

I still think yall making too much of that laugh though. Niggas laugh/smirk/chuckle all the time when they get mad or before hitting somebody. It's not the most uncommon shit in the world. Especially with how quickly it happened. Not like the nigga waited 5 minutes later. It literally happened seconds apart.

If it crossed the line to jada and will that's all that matters. What you think about the joke is irrelevant.

Yeah, the reason he even went to the Smiths was because he was joking about how a husband and wife were both up for awards and how if the wife lost the husband would have been praying that Will won over him in their category.

true.. but dont alot of these comedians and clubs have a no phone policy because the clubs are where they go to polish up their sets and dont want material to get out before it's ready? hard to go viral if no one can record it
