Pepsi Halftime Show: Snoop, Em, Dre, KDot, Mary J Blige (2•13•2022)

I didn't care for the show. This isn't me being a contrarian and no I'm not trying to convince someone who did like it to change their minds.

I personally just didn't care for it

What was it that made you not care for it?

I can 100% say IMO all the greatest half-time show ever talk is some bullshit.

I thought the show was dope as fck... K.Dot killed it with his performance and flow but it was great to hear Dre, Snoop, 50, Em and MJB run through some classics... and when the 'I Aint Mad At Cha' piano keys played, that was a dope moment too...

Also, I dont think anyone was stiff or washed... Dre has never been a proper full time rapper/MC, so understandably he was abit vocally shaky at his age and recent health issues but everyone else was on point and Dre was still dope regardless... 50 prolly sounded abit strained because he was hanging upside down for god knows how long lol

One hell of a show and a great moment for Dr. Dre and hip hop... I dont even watch American football but all Ive heard about is the show not the actual game...

I can't put my finger on it and I'm trying to judge it off it's own merit but idk man, maybe it's the Jay z shit or maybe cause it feels like it was a "ok now you've had your hip hop moment now shut up" attitude...I honestly just don't know but if I had to find one positive, I did "like" kdot segment

Incredibly overrated show

Snoop and Dre were good for nostalgia but the show just was lacking as a whole imo

The best part was Kendrick Arguably but I’ve seen better from him at awards shows so it was hard to get into this one

this not even a top 5 show of all time and anybody acting like it has recency and hip hop bias

I can definitely see that.

I will say that MJB and Kendrick had the most energy out of the performers and I liked them the most. I would've like a 2Pac song but the I ain't mad at'cha piano riff was good.

Dre & Snoop old now so I get it but it could've used a lot more energy IMO

So what was the best halftime show for those that didn't think it was the best?

Not many are really memorable to me. I only remember the Janet one because of the boob slip. The Shakira one was good

I liked the mirrors used for Weeknd's performance

I kinda agree. 50 looked old an fat, Mary was too old to try and pull a Beyonce look. Like a lot of people, seemed off not having Cube up there.

ahhh

well im not mad, but at the same time, outside of the nip slip SB, i honestly dont remember any of them enough to say what's a top performance and what isnt.

the ONLY other SB halftime show I kinda vaguely remember is when NE played in NOLA back in 2002 and that's cause I went to that game and iirc, it think it was U2 or some shit.

i also am the person that usually uses halftime to do other shit as well so...there's that
