You shouldn't go into this movie expecting award winning acting. The action was pretty good and the fight scenes was good as well. I was expecting the main (fan favorite) game characters to have more parts like Lui Kang and Scorpion but Kano was in damn near every scene and talked the most out of all characters. I didn't even think he was a popular character like that but oh well.

My son and his homies loved the movie niggas thought they was karate niggas coming out of the theater and wanted to see it again. Me on the other hand was like ehh it aight at best

Frfr I don’t expect great acting in action movies. Something gotta suffer. I don’t think any pure action movie has gotten an Oscar but idk.

Why would you have raiden scrapping in the first film? They left a lot of gems on the ground. It's up to yall niggas to pick them up.

They're slowing it down for you ungrateful mfs to give you something whole over multiple films. You niggas thought you were gonna get a tournament, subzero vs scorpion fleshed out story, a raiden scrap, more liu kang and kung lao in a 2hr, $50 million budget film?

I thought it was just aight but I'm surprised it was as good as we got. Maybe they should have explained the vision is trying to stretch this into 4-5 films. Understanding that made me appreciate it a lot more for what it was.
 
I'll speak for myself, prior to this film I don't recall reading anything about a universe being established with this first film so yeah, I was at a minimum expecting a tournament. 🤷🏾‍♂️

I mean, it's not the worst idea especially when you think of all the marketing and merchandise they can make off the film, however, I didn't get any indication this was that.

So my expectations at a minimum were this was a 1 of and if the reviews were positive, it would make them consider a sequel.

Yes I thought with 90min, they would've had a tournament.

Niggas saw kung lao for like 20 seconds before he died in the first 2 mortal kombat films but mad you saw him for 20-30 mins of this film.

Movie was already rushed. in the era of movies being 2.5hrs+, this didn’t even clock in at 2hrs. Take Cole out and have Raiden explain the backstory on shit through flash back and what not.

They fleshed out the what was basically the first 20-30 mins of the original film while still giving you a good subzero vs scorpion battle with context to their beef and some good action and fights with other characters.

I don't think you guys understand what you watched.
