Brazil has the highest number of gun deaths in the world, with a total of 43,200 out of the 250,000 worldwide – a gun death rate of 21.9 per 100,000 Brazilian citizens. The United States has the second-highest number of gun deaths with 37,200.

In the United States, mass shootings receive the most attention by the media and therefore, many attribute the high gun deaths to mass shootings. However, mass shootings are only responsible for a small number of overall gun violence deaths in the United States. More than two-thirds of gun deaths in the US are suicides.

Japan has the fewest gun deaths per year in the world. Japan has some of the strictest gun laws in the world and experiences 100 or fewer gun deaths per year in a population of over 127 million and a gun death rate of .06 deaths per 100,000 people.

For Japanese citizens to purchase a gun, they must attend an all-day class, pass a written exam, and complete a shooting range test, scoring at least 95% accuracy. Candidates will also receive a mental health evaluation, performed at a hospital, and will have a comprehensive background check done by the government. Only shotguns and rifles can be purchased. The class and exam must be retaken every three years.

So 2/3rds of gun death is suicide.

cool. They was gon Kill themselves regardless

Maybe we aren't on the same page. You said that the country of Australia didn't have mass shootings. That's a pretty definitive statement. There isn't really room for interpretation there.

You: Australia has no mass shootings

Me: Here are just a couple of the mass shootings in recent year in Australia

You: I meant Australia the CONTINENT.

Respectfully...fuck outta here. Lol.
We might not be on the same page.

Peace.

Brazilian a fucking 3rd world country where there is lawlessness in the favelas and cops can actually snipe you down for being there.

Yall can't be serious with this shit

What's next you wanna compare America to Syria?

All those countries yall naming have livable wages and don’t have a huge population of minorities. They don’t deal with white supremacy keeping their foot on black folks. We are deep here

The set of problems is not the same.

plus I like guns. It’s not a gun problem. It’s 1000 of factors that lead to murder.

And gun deaths don’t even crack the top 10 even if you add in suicide. It legit a small number of the total deaths here.

Why am I needed bro? We ain’t got guns and life is good. Wouldn’t wanna live in a country where it’s normal to see people carrying military style weapons down the street because “it’s my right”.
Need your help to debate these dudes that having a gun is retarded lol

Black people are the ones impacted the most by gun violence.

America needs gun control and reform. The shit is just unacceptable when the world superpower boasts the highest amount of gun violence for a first world country. China has far more people than America and extremely strict gun laws and has the lowest rate of gun violence and gun crime of almost any country in the world.

In the end it's mostly black people he ended up being impacted the most either because of deaths, violence or being punished for it as a criminal offence. There needs to be reform and honestly, the types of guns I see Americans gloating about is just unnecessary. You dont need AR15s, Steyr AUG, or AK47 rifles.

China just put over million Muslims in a secret jail. I bet they wished they could have had the opportunity to fight for their freedom.

How y’all gon talk that revolutionary talk but against having guns.

I guess we gotta hope white supremacy decides to to take a break on us and the world and treat us like regular people instead of dirt.

Bet.

Has nothing to do with gun violence, real Muslims are actually peace-seeking and are taught to seek peaceful resolve to issues. They don't solve their issues through violence. It's one of the most important aspects of Islam as well as the NOI.

If you're alluding to some total anarchy situation that won't ever happen. Yall think the battle for America will be fought with guns and knives, sadly you're behind and not aware of what's going on. Some of these white people are changing laws and putting tools of oppression in place to keep you dumb and ignorant so they can advance ahead of you and continue to widen the gap. Leave you in the streets with guns fighting over property that dont belong to you that you dont own but your ancestors slaved to make.

Again. I bet those Chinese Muslim wish they had the means from getting taken to a secret jail to have lord knows what happening to them.

I wish my ancestors from west Africa had the correct tools to defend themselves from being taken.

I bet the natives in North America and South America wish the same.

England got more knife crime than shootings

Also it's severe jail time of you get caught with one

There is a reason Thailand and the Middle East got severe prison sentences for getting caught with weed.

It's because it's banned and they don't want that shit in their country

Philippines president looked at America and said he don't wanna end up like that and started locking up or straight getting rid of the degenerates.

England's knife crime is high because you can't own a gun. It's so bad I saw how there were proposed changes to how kitchen knives would have to be made with extremely rounded tips in order to be sold there.

Fact is, people are going to kill one way or another. Take away guns, it'll be knives or homemade explosives. Ain't gonna be fun when you gotta put little Billy back together in order to have a funeral after his classmate blows up homeroom.

Cops in England are also largely unarmed which is why the people don't fear being killed by them during a routine traffic stop. How well do you think that would fly here? We had this discussion either a few years ago here or on the IC.

We did get guns, and we used them to defend our lands along with the weapons we already had.

So do any of you actually know the gun laws in your respective city/state/County?

Y'all are so eager to voice your thoughts on the issue, yet not one of you has posted a comment that would imply that you know anything other than " 2nd amendment and U.S. has mass shootings nobody else does"
