Welcome To aBlackWeb

The United States Capitol is under siege by Trump Supporters

Not to mention that a lot of these things that you listed as issues Trump went out of his way to gut.

Trump gutted immigration with the family separations and the travel bans

Trump gutted environmental issues by prioritizing coal (wtf) and taking us out of The Paris Climate Agreement

Trump has not done a single thing to fix our infrastructure. That's why Infrastructure week has been a running joke since 2017.

Criminal justice reform? Look at who trump put on The SCOTUS and look at his judges, Attorney Generals like Bill Barr and Jeff fucking Sessions. Trump gutted the Criminal Justice system and took us back to the 1950's. Have you seen Joe Biden's AG Merrick Garland and his associates including Kristen Clarke?

Address Black Problems? We've went over this ad nauseam about what Joe Biden has planned for Black people but no matter how many times niggas need to see it spelled out the refuse to believe or give any of it a chance so what's the fucking point in even asking anymore in here?

Make Education affordable? Trump had Betsy DeVos lead the Education department and she was by far the absolute worst Education Secretary in American history. Joe Biden has once again already laid out his plan on how to address this and one of them includes making Community College free but as soon as you say that niggas wanna come in here and do whataboutisms.

Legalizing weed is already a States issue that we don't need to wait on Joe Biden to fix. If anything you should be more concerned with the criminal justice aspect of that which if you actually pay attention to some of Biden's picks, you wouldn't have anything to worry about.

lol Stop comparing shit to Trump man. He's garbage. Undoing his bullshit enough is not progress. I think that's a lot of your problem. You seem to think that if we can just get past Trump we'll be good. A lot of people were doing bad coming out of Obama's presidency. That's part of what opened the door for Trump to begin.

Look, if all Biden does is undo the mess that Trump made. Fine, but that won't be real change. That will just be a reset. We need better than a reset. If you're fine with a reset, cool. But some of us think we should strive for better.

But you're the one who's asking if things that are already done will get done?

Look at some of the shit that you listed.

Democrats in The House have already addressed these things.

You can't keep saying we'll see when they already did it!!!!!!!!!

Instead of talking about generalities. Give me an example of something that will be addressed satisfactorily by the House. Maybe I missed something. Let's take the wealth gap. What is the House planning to pass to aggressively reduce the wealth gap?

Raising the minimum wage

Raising the minimum wage

lol That's not a plan for reducing the wealth gap, especially if raising the minimum wage leads to business raising prices as a result.

Don't get me wrong. I support that, but that answer makes it seem like you're underestimating how much it takes to fix some of these problems.

Any updates on the terrorists?

I'll stop contributing to the derailing of this topic because a lot is actually going on with the terrorists.

It sounds like they are planning on escalating in the case of an impeachment or in response to the inauguration.

It's not simply about undoing what Trump did.

Nobody is saying all Biden has to do is just reverse what Trump did. Hell a lot of what Trump did he did it because of his motivation and hate to reverse anything Obama did.

The point that you are missing is that The United States is not a video game where we can go back and replay a level to 100% that shit.

Trump has done damn near irrepairable damage to a lot of institutions and normalities but you also have to remember that Obama was never gonna fix everything in 8 years either.

Just like nobody should be expecting Joe Biden to fix everything in 4 years either. especially not after Trump.

The whole point is that you cannot ask and question if change is going to happen without acknowledging that there is absolutely no stability in our government right now.

You can't ask about what color we gonna paint the master bathroom while the basement has been fucking flooding for 4 years.

We have to prioritize getting the country stable first or nobody is gonna get shit.

Now if you know that Joe Biden ain't gonna fix everything in 4 years anyway why would you not prioritize stabilizing the country first?

Are you aware that in his 4 years in office Donald Trump has went through more change in his Administration than any other Administration?

70% of Government leadership positions are either vacant or filled by interim people.

Perfect example is the Homeland Security Secretary. Trump has went though 6!!!!!! HHS's. 6!!!!!! and 4 of them were Acting HHS meaning they were never even confirmed. Just some schmucks that are in charge of our public safety.

Do you even know all 6 of his HHS? Do you know why that position is so important after 9/11? Who do you think is in charge of the safety of Americans on American soil during a terrorist attack like the one last Wednesday? That would be the HHS and who is it right now? He just quit 2 days ago!!!!!!!!

That is the type of shit I'm talking about. You're asking about tangible changes and I get that but there are immediate pressing issues that affect every single one of us that Trump has been ignoring for 4 fucking years.

And niggas don't wanna admit it but the reason a lot of niggas didn't have all this smoke for Obama is because the country wasn't in the fucking hole like it is now under Trump when Obama was POTUS. Now all of a sudden when horrible ass Trump comes along niggas wanna start questioning everything going back to Obama, Clinton, etc when I don't remember seeing this same energy when Barry was in the chair........

Raising the minimum wage does satisfactory address the wealth gap. You do know that Satisfactory is better than Failing but less than Excellent right?

Ok, I'm curious about this.

We know @Race Jones believes that they whole system needs to be burned down and rebuilt, but at the very least, if you're not going to do that, you should be using political pressure to push for substantive change rather than just going along with whatever you're offered. (I hope I summarized that well)

I largely agree with her though I am more supportive of picking lesser evil when those are the only choices you have.

@Los216, @TheNightKing, and others seem to disagree. Do you guys really think that Biden is going to bring substantive change, and do you really think things are going to get better without someone doing something radical to force change?
I actually agree with a lot of what @Race Jones says with regard to substantive change and getting something for our vote. Only difference is I’m practical and she’s not. I know the shit doesn’t happen magically and it doesn’t happen outside of the system unless you have the power to take it by force, which we don’t.

I think you have to work within the system to get things done and at times the only choice is between two evils, especially with this election. She thinks everyone who doesn’t think like her is stupid and should have voted for who she liked and because they didn’t fuck the whole system. That’s defeatist and the path of least resistance to me.

I think we have to organize and mobilize behind some sort of super PAC and lead person or organization to consolidate our spending power into political power. We know money talks so instead of complaining about that reality we need to accept it and get better at it.

As far as Biden, I think there’s a hell of a lot better chance of getting the things we want with him than with Trump. I’m not naive enough to say he’s bringing on Utopia and he’ll do everything we want as a people because I know every politician’s loyalty lies with whoever is giving them the most money (see my last point).

That being said I do think we’ll get some change like expanded healthcare, higher minimum wage, a return to the checks Obama’s administration put on police departments, COVID relief and response, etc. And I like his cabinet picks so far because it is vastly more diverse than Trump’s and the people seem to actually be smart.

Only time will tell though if he follows through on these promises. I’m not going to be surprised one way or another because I’m a realist.

I'm not reading that rant because you basically start it off by mischaracterizing my stance. You're putting a lot of faith in Biden and the current pack of Dems. I guess we'll see if your faith is well placed.

Is this post real or is it supposed to be a joke?
