Obama explains what he did for black people

There's plenty negative to say about Obama. But some of the shit people bring up, as has been done in this thread, simply isnt rooted in facts but more in the perception of what they think he could've done vs what he actually could do
Like what?

THIS.

all circles back to a fundamental ignorance of how our government works at the local, state and federal level.

I've said it before I very much dislike the way Obama often spoke to and spoke about young Black men. That speech he gave at Morehouse I didn't like at all. Then there was also him trying to play too nice. Even if he was fighting a losing battle with the Senate against him his desire to not come off as the angry Black man had a definite hand in emboldening those on the right and far right to think they could simply bully their way to getting what they want. There's more but that's another thread in itself.

Yeah. He pointed that out in the interview when he spoke about how people don't realize alot of the laws they're protesting against start at the state and local levels. And truth be told if the federal government intervened in the way say they want then alot of people would be very unhappy with the government exercising that type of power. Hell you're seeing it now with people reacting to masks mandates.

Yeah I thought he could have been more aggressive as well. However what he said during the interview about being the first and the traiblazer...you gotta move different...because your performance and all things related may either keep the door open or close it for the ones that come behind you.
He was trying to ensure that there is a 2nd black pres.

Im sure the numbers can back it up...but I believe the uptick of black politicians performing on the local, state and national level has risen as a direct result of Obama.

Whether it be inspired to go into politics by him or just given an extra look because there was a black face in the highest office in the land.

hell diversity in general in government has risen since 2008

EXACTLY.

Policing is the major one. The cops you will most likely have an interaction with are the city PD, sheriffs, or state police. Which are all governed at the local level.

The mayor appoints the police chief. You vote for your sherrif. state troopers are governed by the AG of your state if im not mistaken

the AG is appointed by the gov in some states and elected in others.

so participation on government at the local and state level will start the change blacks wanna see

Ok I know he used drones but when did he use drones because of an argument

It was reported in a French TV documentary about Obama's presidential lifetime that he can boiling down to the extreme every once and a while and that he indeed ordered some political assassinations and military campaigns abroad for initially petty motives such like arguing with Michelle. He also murdered Gaddafi because he didn't like how he subtlely snubbed him while shaking their hands while his extravagant trip in U.S.A. .

Although, he will always rationalize his military campaigns, like every POTUS prior Trump did. Do you know how many military interventions campaigned by U.S.A. started out over petty shit since the Cold War?

Apparently, Obama is a whole another personality behind the scenes. Unless you got a killer instinct too, don't cross that Obama.

I understand why he acted the way he did, outside of being far more conservative than many people either realize or want to admit, the lasting image of Obama being as measured as he was during his presidency will do more good and harm in the long run. And I say that because imagery does matter and him remaining calm in the face of what he was up against did set an important standard. However there's also a time to simply say "fuck that" and I feel like he missed those moments

man that aint good enough.

fuck a blazed trail?

what he do for the black folk?

seems like damn near every black trail blazer had to deal with twice as much hate and insults. then niggas want to try to celebrate after the fact.

STOP WHAT YOU DOING!!!

You the same nigga a few years ago talking about we as black people should celebrate Clarence Thomas just cause of what he accomplished as a black person fuck all the shit he has done against black people with that so called accomplishment. So should we celebrate Daniel Cameron as well. He blazed a trail as the fist black AG of Kentucky?

Make up your mind.

You said he should be in the African American History Museum. You said he should be in just because he was black and what he accomplished by becoming a Supreme Court judge.

Plenty of people of course disagreed with your point
