Chi Town B, You're A Hater Fan

I never said people are born with revolutionary politics. Never even hinted at it. Ive been very much critical of that very idea before on here. I just pointed out a common theme among people who admittedly as you said didn't "come into their blackness" until their mid to late 20s as you admitted you. It's good you've learned and grown but you still have alot of learning and growing to do and your approach to things shows that in a glaringly obvious way. Because there's no way in 7 years you've grown and learned enough and/or more than people who were raised and brought up in and around people and an environment that taught them from a young age just how this world views and treats Black people. There's a stark difference between people who were told these things from a young age vs those who as you did just got into it when they were older. It's not a shot at you as much of an observation that gives insight into why you approach shit the way you do.

youre making broad statements and have 0 clue on what youre talking about. my father is a psychology professor that worked at HBCUS his entire life. he discussed racism and chattel slavery and jim crow often. so i dont understand you jumping weird in telling me the ways in which i grew up.

my father has written mad articles on Blackness which you can google. he use to read them to me while i was young but he was a drug addict so his influence waned as i reached my early teens

remember you dont me at all. what you see online is me simply stating my opinion, thats it

again, i always dated Black men. I always loved Black ppl. I was at a bar and a white man hollered at me and we went on a few dates. never kissed, never fucked nothing

all my friends laughed because they knew i wasnt serious and i wasnt lmao (i wanted free food and drinks period)

he cooked a bad meal and that was the end of it

and let this be the end of you trying to speak on my lived experiences

You're the one who said you didnt grow into a racial consciousness til 24...so you're basically saying despite growing up with a parent who was fully invested in spreading that knowledge you didn't pay much attention to it. Unless you mean something different by "growing into my racial consciousness".

This ain't about who you date or dated. I could give a fuck about you dating a white guy. That dont got shit to do with your own personal racial politics in terms of how you view yourself as a black person navigating this world. Direct that at the niggas in here calling you a bed wench. I'm solely speaking on your ability, or lack thereof, to have nuanced discussions and thinking you know more than everybody else when by your own admission you're still very much new to this shit. You only been in this heavy for 7 years. I been at this shit since literally since I was a child and am in my mid 30s now. So it's safe to say I've got more experience in this area than you do and have seen plenty before like you who are still brand new and think because they grew some locs and read a few books that now they suddenly know best for all.

Oh this was thread ok this might be interesting

I vividly remember my mother telling me at like 8years old "You're a black male...you automatically have 2 strikes against you"...I have Rastafarian uncles and aunts who I basically grew up with who had me and my brothers and cousins reading and watching all sorts of documentaries about then history of Black people globally. Shit my uncle literally had the "Willie Lynch" letter hanging framed in his house. You saw that shit everytime you went down to the basement. I knew that shit by heart by the time I was like 13. Shit like that definitely shapes how you view the world and the people in it in relation to being a Black person. As you get older you can filter out truth and logic on your own but simply being introduced to that stuff at a young age I never had the "Oh so this is how the world views me" nigga wake up call moment. My parents and other elders shattered that myth early on and I'm grateful to them for it. Saved slot of time and hurt feelings.

Thats whats up.

Being mentally aware of Blackness and pro blackness requires a healthy balance in the white mans world. You dont want to be in a constant state of panic or anger. But you have to be aware America does not love you, it never has. But you have to function in society. But knowledge is power and history of self. Thats why when white ppl do foul shit im not surprised. I wouldnt say its in their nature. But their society n social structure has made them that way.
