I know I say this every off season but NBA TV is awful.

you can tell they are only about not spending money. They have maybe 2 actual programs they show and the rest of the programming is re runs of old games.

they could copy ESPN and have video feeds to the NBA radio programs which would at least be some cheap programs. It’s a damn shame how cheap they are. SMH

Hate to say this but Turner may have made a mistake in buying NBATV. Like your said, it’s awful. The graphics seem so outdated and the NBA fan night concept when they would show a game and have regional coverage was so cheap and sad. ESPN would have even better off buying NBATV if this is the best that Tuner can do with it. The jump is so much better than anything on NBATV

Turner also owns NBA.com

The reason it's out dated is because Turner doesn't want to spend money on the channel. Maybe they don't want to spend money because it doesn't make alot but I honestly think Turner should lean into catering to the international crowds and young people more. I honestly don't think you have to spend a lot of money to produce some of the small ideas I even have to make the channel better.

You have countries like the Philippines, Australia and even Canada where the sport is pretty damn popular. Have shows where you try and interact with those fans live or chat with basketball minds, journalists, and players in those countries.

Like look at the draft coverage NBA TV does compared to the NFL... NFL network is talking about the draft not long after the damn super bowl is over. They talk about it all the way up to the draft and then have extensive analysis on the picks after the draft.

The only reason I can think the coverage is so poor is because It has to be about how much money they generate in North America. But basketball is a way bigger global sport and should be promoted as such

The NBA for as bad as the business turned out this year due to China doing that fuck shit to Hong Kong had the right idea getting China more interested in the NBA. The funny thing is they still did the business half assed in my opinion.

Now should the NBA do business with China ethically, maybe not but since they are doing business with China I still think it was ways they could've made it even better than how they did things

Sorry make it 8 non white coaches

James borrego is Mexican

I should've remembered him also. After he left Orlando he came and coached under Pop in San Antonio. He was one of the reasons Tony Parker felt comfortable going to Charlotte

I apologize for ranting but the more I think about this stuff the more i get pissed because you have great podcast like "Knuckleheads" and "All the Smoke" given platforms by outside entities.

Who the hell is in charge of programming at NBA TV?! Lmao.

These guys are doing great on their platforms as former NBA players and it cost barely anything to make the show. Lol

I'm pleased with the hire... Now let's fill out the rest of the staff
