2020 NFL Offseason Thread

I don’t think y’all remember how bad Brady looked as the season went on.

NE gon have a better record than Bucs

NFC South is the Tougher division.

He had the picks to get who? The 4th/5th QB off the board? Not like he could have gotten the top guys. And he may not have wanted the guys still there for the next 4 years.

If he thought he had a strong QB room, he wouldn't have gone looking for a new starter.

Were we not watching the same NFL draft? For where they were picking. There were QBs to be had...even had the picks to trade up as well, not talking up in the top 5..

If a former MVP is available and you think he can help your team and get him for cheap...you get him. Point blank.

Also Cam just signed w the pats its pretty late for an NFL transaction like that. He was let go around draft time. If the patriots were really that hard up, ..they could of picked him up then, gone for Andy Dalton maybe a Bridgwater?

I think BB is banking on his organization being better for Cam than the Panthers. He probably thinks he can put Cam in a better position to win, and he’s probably right. Panthers could have done a lot better. After that SB year they should have kept everybody they could have, but they let cats like Norman walk for almost no reason. Never really brought in a strong receiving core either.

I think the Panthers prioritized money over winning to some extent

same shit is happening in NY

guess who the common denominator is...

Man... what? He threw for more yards than Cam ever has, with a higher completion % than Cam's career average, 24 TD 8 INT. That's struggling? Agreed it wasn't an impressive season by Brady standards... but those numbers are the bar for struggling now?

lol he damn sure wasn’t prospering

Brady played all 16 games and threw less than 25 passing TDs, ranking him 13th

he had the same amount of passing TDs as Daniel Jones, a rookie who played 3 less games

he didn’t just struggle by his standards

Were we? The top 3 QB's were taken in the first 6 picks. Pats had the 23rd (3 QB's gone), and traded back into the second round (4 QB's gone). So where was I wrong in saying they'd be taking the 4th/5th QB off the board?

Haha man, his body is beat up. Why we keep going back 5 years before these shoulder and foot issues?

Cam's thrown more than 25 TD's once in his career. That's what I'm saying... if passing 25 TD's is your bar...cool. Keep that same energy with all the QB's though.

Keep up those Daniel Jones comparisons with them too. Jones tied Cam's 2nd best passing TD season in his rookie year with just 13 starts.

You KNOWWWW if Cam put up the same numbers next year, that Brady put up last year people would say he balled.

Bruh come on with this, stop. It's pretty simple and pretty clear. If they wanted to draft a QB and thought a QB was worthy enough to get however they could. They would of. Point blank. Basic thought process..you don't think BB would of been able to figure it out?

And If he didn't think Cam could help his team i dont think he would of sign him..and even if he thinks stidham is still "the man" or "will be the man"....i don't think it would kill to have stidham sit out another year learning.

How long did Rodgers sit behind Favre? And no I am not comparing Stidham to Rodgers.

Stop what? Pat's had the 23rd pick, and no second round picks. They weren't gonna get in the top 6 picks. It's technically possible, but they weren't gonna come up off all the picks it would take. So no, I don't think those top 3 QB's were a realistic option. And by the time you got to the other QB's they may not have been guys he was interested in.

Rodgers came in when Favre left. They didn't bring in a new guy for him to sit behind. They were happy with their QB situation, so they didn't bring in a new starter.

I'm not mad at the move. It's low risk...go for it. I just don't agree with the hype behind it.

Who said the 1st or 2nd round is the only place to get a QB..in general I am telling you to stop cause your over analyzing the Pats
acquiring or not acquiring a QB.

And Rodgers sat for two years before he took over. My point is "the next guy" doesn't necessarily come right in and play.

Im not over analyzing. I said they have a weak QB room, so Cam was brought in as a low risk pickup. What's being overthought there?
