No excuses but If we're looking for an explanation, I'd say she's not the first nor the last mixed race person that didn't have any great connection with black people growing up that ends up struggle with her blackness.

There are plenty of Doja Cat’s out here that are mixed with black but don’t identify with black, they identify with the other side of whatever they’re mixed with. They say slick stuff and hide behind being “black” to get a pass saying foul shit.
 
The key is to live in places where black peoples be at. We ain’t in Montana or Dakota or Idaho. Well at least not in large numbers. What’s that movie where the girl mom was black but she could pass for white and always denied her mom until she died?
 
I've met one mixed race girl that had scary similarities. Thinking back she was the same about dating white boys, for what ever reason she would broadcast it every once in a while like everyone cared.

The white dude she was dating in our motorcycle group recorded her giving him top and whenever it came to topics on systemic racism or police brutality she was always on the side of the whites as if the issues didn't exist or we exagerating the problems.

The sad part is being mixed, hating your black side but using different components of your blackness to your benefit or out of convenience.

All these weirdo artist are getting on the same way. These streaming malls or whatever they call them

Thats pretty much what I've seen go on till one or a few of them run her out of the room because, she doesn't fuck with them anymore or doesn't entertain them. Kinda like what went on in the IC with the exposures.
