Man....its plenty of 'pioneering' acts that still tour and stack they bread

All respect due to Kool Herc and Bambatta but if these dudes ain't find away to make money off the game by now, giving them money won't change shit but piss it away

Shout to to Flash who still gets busy. Shout to Roxeanne who got a movie deal and leveraged her power

I get everyone ain't fortunate and drugs and the lifestyle probably left them worse then they start but ah well. Lotta these folks seen more paper in one setting than I have so it's hard for me to feel sorry for them

Swizz can pay for they funerals, I'll chip in for that

Naw, that is all on the label. The labels should compensate if you "officially" retire or have an injury where you can't rap/sing anymore or like you use to. Kind of like what happened to beanie Sigel. But to be honest, that is what royalties is for. Rappers now, will most likely get it since a lot are paying attention to their contracts. But the contracts were different in the past.

You can just own your own shit. Most folks don’t want grind that way so they give their music rights away.
 
A union wouldn't work in today's climate. There are no longer gate keepers in the music industry. If a label is doing a artist dirty, there are many other routes they can go.

Flavor Flav chose NOT to tour with Public Enemy. I'm supposed to donate cause he lazy af? Or cause they don't get along? Or whatever reason he chose to skip out on that bag???

And Busta right, I'm a help support Bam because he a pioneer even tho he was allegedly touching the whole Zulu Nation??

Tell the niggas who ain't eating to get they cardio together, call Flash, or Pete Rock, or Kid Capri, or Preemo, or Jazzy Jeff or any of the HELLA successful touring DJ's, and get some dates lined up. I imagine Rakim right now secure 15k or better for a show. Knock a few of them out a year and you gucci
