I wouldn't say popularity, it's just not 100% about "technical rap skill" if so canibus and day day down the block would be top 5. Song making ability, impact/influence (i guess u can say popularity), catalog, etc

But that's all subjective and that's the inherent problem with using artist's top 5 to fuel our own arguments for who's goat.

What's funny is, I used the same argument you used in the 3k vs ti thread when ctb said that he values bars over everything else and that southern artist put beats over lyrics. I told him exactly what you just said, that it's the music that matters most at the end of the day.
