I've said more than once, I don't don't give a shit one way or the other. If he forgave or didn't forgive, it shouldn't really matter. You guys are making this act seem like it's indicative of some big problem that is hurting the black community but have yet to actually draw that connection. On the small scale tell me how him forgiving that chick does anything to hurt you or any other black person. On the larger scale, explain to me how blacks in general be more forgiving has hurt blacks. What bad things have happened to us because of our forgiveness that wouldn't have happened to us anyway? What good things didn't happen that would have if we weren't so forgiving?

These questions aren't meant to knock your stance or make it seem as if you're wrong. These are questions I'd actually like to see answered to support the rhetoric you and others keep pushing.

You're very conditioned. What you saw go down in that courtroom is unprecedented behavior but youre pretending its the norm. There was NO justice served, only sympathy for a cold hearted white supremacist murderer. When have white even been forgiving? Why is the onus on the black victim to forgive? why are the headlines more focused on the forgiveness then the short sentence? If you don't see anything wrong with that kangaroo court it means you're complicit with injustice

Justice was not served. Real time was not given. Hugs were given. There were no consequences. Where is the DETERRENT for racist cops and civilians to not kill black people???

Bruh I don't even understand what you're trying to say anymore. You literally asked why the headlines are more focused on the forgiveness than the sentencing. My nigga, you and people like you are the ones making such a big deal out of this. If all the people that disagreed with the hug had shaken their heads at the hug and moved on to press on the bad sentencing, that might have actually been a bigger story.

I've said before that I think 10 years was too short, but part of me is surprised she got anything. To say 10 years is no real consequence is silly. You think that bitch wanted to go to jail at all? Of course not. She's being punished. You may think the punishment is too light and I'd agree, but act like nothing happened at all is also silly. We've seen plenty of cases where cops killed blacks unjustly and faced no consequences. At least here, she's not just walking free. That may not deter racist killer cops, but it damn sure won't encourage them.

That's your ideal situation, and that's fine. For me personally, the 26 year sentence is the only part of that that really matters. The family has already spoken on the Dallas PD corruption. They don't have to do that anymore especially if justice had actually been served. If the chick got the 26 years and the kid still forgave her, I don't really see what the issue would have been.

At the end of the day, the sticking point with everyone is that she got off too light, and it's fair to say that the blacks on that jury are at fault. So my question is, why are ya'll putting 10 times as much energy into bashing the kid for his forgiveness than you are into bashing the jurors for not being harsh enough?

Forgiveness is when one does something to you, OJ has done nothing to me. I don’t forgive or hold anything against him. Again, that’s not my battle and to consume myself w such nonsense is silly. We don’t need to go around forgiving everyone. We need to forgive those who wrong us. If, I, VIBE, was wronged by you, I’d forgive you. If you wronged Goldie, I have nothing to forgive or hold against you. That’s between you two. So bringing up all this other silly stuff is moot.

No one in here needs to forgive this woman. She didn’t do anything to anyone in here. Even if she did and you still didn’t want to forgive, then cool, that’s your decision. You’ve used your freewill the way you wanted to. I hold nothing against anyone for that.

You can't see how being "nice" and "forgiving" in public will continue to allow black folks to be slaughter out here.

The thought process of being forgiven means you can kill another family member again tells a lot about you. But the logic behind that is stupid as murdering someone will land you in prison. So, you may be forgiven, but how that frees you to kill again and again confuses me. Your justification is illogical.
