They allow their players to express themselves and speak on things without being penalized. Adam Silver supported the BLM movement and allowed the players to wear anything supporting it during warmups, they got donald sterling df outta here, etc

The nba knew for well over 20 years Sterling was racist. Thats some bullshit to try and give them credit for that.

NBA owns the wnba. Care to explain why the wnba players were fined for wearing blacklivesmatters shirts?

That's not progressive. They on some selective let's not fuck up our image shit.

They need to get Mark Cuban outta there too. Since they’re so “progressive”

Do you think the NFL would dead an owner if a phone call like that came out?

Man the WNBA brings in about $20 in revenue every year, they just wanted some of their money back.

They also have been open to more minorities in power across the league in various areas like team and league front offices workers, owners, referees, and coaching. NBA is way more progressive and open to new ideas than most pro sports leagues but like most of the leagues it can and hopefully will do better

I'm too smart fam lol that's not gonna work on me.

I'm not in here preaching on things he's going to do, you asked me a question and i answered it.
I have no idea what you think im trying to get to work on you.
Im simply point out the fallacy in arguing your speculation while shitting on someone else's. When none of us are privy to any additional information

What are you in here for then?

This whole time i've been saying "give him a chance and lets wait and see" and i've been calling out the hypocrisy in other nigga's arguments.

Not until YOU ASKED ME what i think he might be doing, i gave you what i GUESSED he might be working on and I prefaced it with saying I don't know any of the details.

These niggas came in here straight out the gate saying he's a sell out and coon, etc. I didn't say shit till you asked me to take a guess. That's a big difference.

Honestly (and I think a lot of people are gonna disagree with me in here) I think the NFL owners truly don't give a damn about Kaepernick kneeling but they do care about their money. They know the majority of their fans are the type who will complain and boycott for real if Kaepernick was on their roster. His is a threat to their bottom line and that's why he hasn't gotten a job.

The NBA understands that most of their fans are the exact opposite and that is why they have no issues with their players speaking out because it isn't going to hurt their money as much.

This whole situation comes down to money, period

REALEST NIGGA to maybe ever step foot in the white house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So folks already forgetting about or just saying fuck what the nba did to Craig Hodges and Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf?

I remember both situations. Different commissioner and different times.

Like I stated in 2 post already a lot of what people can get away with comes down to money and the NBA like most leagues still has a long way to go

I disagree cause if that was true of NBA fans then the league wouldn't have made those rule changes about what type of clothes and jewelry player can wear on the sidelines.

If that was true folks would've really understood why Ron Artest tried to beat up somebody throwing a drink on him.

I agree its about the bottom line but if they were so progressive as billionaires they would take the hit of a few dollars for the greater good but I know that shit ain't going to happen cause no matter the league nba or nfl its still RUN NIGGA RUN first and foremost

It wasn't done to be progressive but it was done so there is that.

The NBA also fined JR Smith for getting a popular clothing brand logo tattoo and not covering it along with Kelly Oubre for wearing that same clothing brand logo on an arm band.

It's against league policy to advertise brands not working with the league aka if it was messing with the money they usually react swiftly. The ladies were warm up shirts that covered sponsorshiped apparel. The WNBA did the right thing though after the fact and gave those ladies their money back.

There's nothing to wait and see.
So if Hov makes it to where players are free to protest/kneel and creates a collaborative project with the NFL around social justice, what's the issue?

You sir have not been saying wait and see. And you sir have been speculating on what Jay might do.

So if you can speculate on what he might do right. Others can speculate on what he might do wrong.
