Yeah, I've noticed that contradiction too. That said, a lot of those women fuck with niggas who ain't got shit for fun and when they are ready to settle down look for men "who've made it." I think those are the women Umar is talking about. So there's really no contradiction there. You could argue that his point is, stop fucking with the dudes that ain't got shit and put your time into the dudes that are on the come up.

It's the same shit niggas do. Fuck with women they consider disposable or fun til they're ready to settle down and then want a virtuous woman who hasn't been touched. Niggas complain about the shit they openly embrace at the same time.

And men have been called out for that kind of behavior for decades. I'm not really sure what your objection is here.

Umar wasn't claiming that there are no male bad actors in the dating pool. He was just pointing out why some successful black men choose to date white women. The fact that there are men who exhibit fuckboy behavior is irrelevant to the conversation.

My objection is to his idea that Black women only go for the "finished product" meanwhile white women "invest" from the jump. Not only is it a stupid idea in general, actual numbers don't back him up.

I think a lot of people (not just black) are conditioned by the media to think “white is right”, better or totally different. Most folks (even with all this technology) like to stay in their own bubble, which makes it easier to condition them. So, of course you will get some people who don’t know any better seeking out something they were told is better to only find out it is very similar to what they were already around. lol.

I think it’s also about what’s the majority in their closest proximity as far as these college guys go. Most of these guys go to PWI’s and not HBCU’s, so that’s why they end up with the type of chicks they end up with.

I disagree with Umar about black women not seeing potential in black men while they are on the come up though. That’s a very narrow minded point of view. Maybe the people he has encountered was like that, but I wouldn’t say it’s the majority

Agreed and on the come up looks different than one would think. It's about the effort to be effective.

It's a generalization and has all the limitations every generalization has. I'm not going to just dismiss what he's saying though, because I've seen the shit with my own eyes. There absolutely are black women that function like that, and there absolutely are white women who prioritize different things when looking for a mate and go after black men that a lot of black women ignore.

do mega wealthy Black men get with women of other race's yes are most Black men mega wealthy no, so that small percentage of Black men jumping over to the snow bunny world should not be a topic of discussion since numbers don't lie and what not

In the context of what he was speaking on, Black athletes, he's still wrong as hell. Yes there are women who function like that. He was speaking as if that's the majority and furthering a stereotype that is easily disproven but continues to give life to a stereotype that is not actual reality.
