Actually in my area, you can report that kinda thing to the county, and they will fine them. If they have I think 4 or 5 cars in their driveway or in front of their house...the county can fine them for that or tow them.

It all depends on the area you live in and what they got in place

I was not making a case for the woman's action genius. The topic title asks us what we'd do in that situation. I pointed out that if her building was anything like mine, that she had the right to ask to see his fob if it looked like he was piggybacking off her coming out of the door. I said I'd show her my fob or buzz myself in and be on my way. I ain't about to sit there arguing with a CaC or begging her ass to be let in like buddy in the video. When I realized that he actually did buzz in and show her his fob and she was till on the bullshit, I took it back and said she was just on some bullshit all the way.

All "justifying her actions" and "bowing my head" and "accepting what she did" never happened. You brought up my first post and conveniently left out that I said in that post that everything she did past asking for the fob was out of line and that everyone who said race was involved was probably right. Again, you just making up shit.

Yeah you right. I'm not saying you can't do things without an HOA, but it can help.

I'll give you my example. When we moved into our house, we realized that these jackasses two doors down would sit outside the stoop smoking weed all day, selling drugs, bringing people around, and basically trashing the common area and other people's yards. At the time, my wife was pregnant and she couldn't even come out the house without throwing up because of them. I went and talked to them and they didn't give a fuck. I talked to some of the neighbors, and they said they had been dealing with it for like 10 years. I didn't want to call the cops on them because who knows what the cops would do, so I went to the HOA and they got in touch with the county council, threatened to sue the home owner, and had cameras and no loitering signs put up. After that, the cops patrolled through the area regularly and ran them away without issue. Now the neighborhood is peaceful. I could have run down the county council and community cops, but it was easier to go to the HOA.

Stuff like that does lower your property value, and even if you don't care about the color, the pool of people you hope to sell to might. They can't just kick people of their properties for every little thing, even if those things are negatively impacting the people around the property. I also fail to see how greasing a local politicians palms is any more preferable than paying an HOA fee. Either way, you're beholden to the whims of another party.

This is always the cookie cutter response for HOA's, "It keeps my property value high", its like everyone is quoting the same press release. I've never really ever seen any proof of that. Probably cant even see any proof of that because, the people who can easily afford HOA's, can afford to not live in poor jacked up neighborhoods, with broken down cars everywhere & toilets in their law.

Developers dont start HOA's solely to make sure their buyers keep their investment in a few decades. They dont give a shit what happens after they get paid and made their profit. I'm sure most of them own or have a hand in the management company in charge of the development. Just another revenue stream they justify by scaring white people saying "You know, without an HOA, your property values can be negatively affected and you can lose all your investment".

It's not bullshit. I can't promise you there is merit to some HOAs. I grew up in a neighborhood that didn't have one, and people did some crazy shit to their houses and yards in the neighborhood. That led to the property values in the neighborhood stagnating while the values in other neighborhoods rose. We had to move after like 10 years because the neighborhood went from being a middle class spot to a drug and gang den. I'm not saying that every situation is like that, but it can happen if you don't have someone staying on top of shit. I understand that you can go to the council if you want to, but do you really think you can clean up a whole neighborhood more efficiently than an HOA can?

the value of my property stays high because of the school district and low crime rate and the way the police and locals hide the fucked up shit they do.

thats how i learned that ...white people just hide shit better while niggas in the inner city dont give a shit who sees.

I don't know about that, but the suburbs do have a lot of drugs. Whites just aren't as obvious about how they sell it. So you can have a white neighborhood with a couple drug houses and not really know about it from the look of the neighborhood. It was kinda hard to miss in the neighborhood my fam ended up leaving.

This is technically true. Working reno, I get paranoid sometimes when I let people in the building cause if something goes wrong it can come back that I let them in the place. From what I see, though, most tenants don't even follow that shit and are pretty loose with letting ppl in the building, so that woman is doing too much
