WrestleMania 36 PPV Thread: April 4 & 5, 2020

NXT will also never win the ratings war imo because it still looks like a indie show while AEW comes off like a Raw or Nitro. I love NXT since the first build to Takeover 1 and still love it but AEW comes off as must see, where NXT it's like random matches thrown together with lack of real solid story telling outside of a few feuds so people can wait and watch these random matches at their own time if they are really invested or care.

Expecially right now AEW is killing the stories top to bottom on their shows, it actually kind of sucks all this is going on because they legit are on a hot roll with mass story telling and majority of everybody being apart of something that is entertaining.
 
NXT needs to start touring if/when the coronavirus shit ends. AEW feels like a bigger deal because they are in a different city every week when they were allowed to do so and the fans are different despite the fact that AEW still gets a very good crowd

But it's not only that its the actual great story telling AEW does where NxT is like development story telling, nothing really exciting outside the main 1-2 they push.

Even tho there is alot of anti WWE people, I think there is just alot more who find AEW refreshing and easier to watch because it offers a little of everything.

I'm seeing alot of reviews for the Edge match being boring as shit.

Edge picked the wrong man to dance with but then again I never found Edge as a ring general either.

Daniel Bryan only got his spot because the fans pretty much took over the shows, the seahawks won the superbowl and were doing it, fans at basketball hockey and football games were doing it, anchors on espn were doing yes chants. It literally became a movement outside of wrestling. There was no denying it. It took Bryan becoming the face of a pop culture movement for them to give him the title. You think if that didn't happen vince would have given him mania? Stop it. With Kofi dang near the same thing had to happen plus the subtle racial undertones they were playing with and Bryan wanting to give him the shot. They almost gave that mania spot to KO.

Becky has suffered from bad creative and bad booking. That's why the fans turned on her. That's why the fans will turn on Drew as well. WWE doesn't know how to follow up. AEW hasn't run into that problem yet because they listen to the fans. They have straight up rebooted two characters and nixed a whole angle because the fans wasn't feeling it.

So glad they got rid of that Nightmare Collective gimmick. That shyt was turrible
 
Early Goldberg would legit prolly kill anybody with his hands, been watching old WCW Nitros, man Goldberg was a fucking machine.

It was long as hell but I liked watching them beat the shit outta each other all over the PC.

I just hope that Gargano/Ciampa was filmed in a different location cus i feel like we done see the whole PC now

Especially with NXT becoming more and more entertaining..

I mean, I get it... People like variety. People like to root for the underdog...
. And aew is a good product....

But not so good that it's must see imo....

NXT is just as good and it's more easily accessible for me....

WrestleMania was great.... And I look forward to watching when they get the crowd back

NXT isn't must see and neither is Raw and Smackdown anymore.

Storyline wise, that is my only issue with NXT. It's like ROH when they first started which is cool for matches but I want to be invested in more then 1 main story and generic throw ins. I want to see more Ciampa-Gargano type shit with the dope wrestling.

Swervo, Austin Theory, Killer Kross, Balor, Keith Lee need to run that bitch and take the story telling to the next level. Killer Kross basically writes itself. I'm excited to see those guys elevate the brand. It's time for Adam Cole and UE to jump to the red brand. Guys like Riddle, Ciampa and Dunne feels like a weird place because tho they fit well in NXT I feel it's time for them to grow and move on. Excited to see Riddle under somebody like Heyman.

Meh.

I find myself switching channels sometimes b/t the 2 brands. But only depending on who's on the card that nite for NXT.

Other than that...AEW is who I find myself having that "can't miss" moment wit. NXT I can always go back and catch it on the WWE network. Just like wit Raw and SD.
 
I ain't wanna say it cuz mfs would say I'm hating but AEW isnt must see TV for me either bruh.. To each his own tho. I understand why I have difference of opinion wit some of yall when it comes to it now too and it's because I watch NXT for the action, that's my favorite thing about it. That and they actually have people on the roster who I fw more. Thats all that it boils down to. Now If that changes and it becomes absolutely trash then i wont watch anymore. More in depth stories would be an added bonus but it ain't a make or break thing for me.
 
I feel like there's no need to be attached to NXT or the characters cause from what I see watching Raw and Smackdown when those people get called up more likely than not they're going to be jobbers. Yea some of them that came up have become stars but it's more that haven't.
 
That's why I never wanna see anybody get called up. its likes seeing them off to the slaughter a lot of times.
