Why are there so few rappers from the Midwest?

Do y'all consider Philly on the east coast or Midwest? Serious question

The thing is the Midwest itself is extremely varied with very little in tye way of a common theme. St. Louis is way different than Chicago which is different than Ohio which is different than Michigan so there isnt really a sound that defines the Midwest as a whole.

So the people from the Midwest are more associated with their specific areas than the Midwest as a whole.

In fact, Cleveland is considered East Coast. I guess it's because they have subways and brownstones.

Tha Chicago Drill music been one of tha biggest “hip-hop movements” for tha last 10 years prolly…

Em, Trick Trick, Slum Village, J Dilla all had Detroit moving at tha same time…

Hell even today wit’ Boldy James, 42 Dugg and tha rest of these Detroit artist now got tha game noticing…

Overall a pretty turrible thread premise G…

The real question should be why Baltimore or DC don't have big rappers and they didn't pop until king los, wale or fat trel and the 2010s

So since the 80s they didn't have one rapper pop?
