Didn't say they aren't competitive. I said to this degree. Break me off with some examples from other genres and let's see how they compare.

Bruh you've had pop stars legit try to fuck up each other's tours doing shit like stealing dancers and band members. Rock groups openly beefing and writing songs about each other in the same damn group. Artists from different groups and bands openly saying that they think a peer of theirs is trash and ruining the music. It's not just a rap thing.

Also are the people you're talking about more exception than rule. How many top rappers in the past like 25 years HAVEN'T gotten in a beef shitting on peers?

Jay? 50? Nas? Ross? Ludacris? Nelly? Kanye? Drake? Wayne? Eminem? Lupe? Jeezy? Yo Gotti? Dre? Snoop? Ja? DMX? Mase? Kendrick? Cole? Juvenile? Yo Gotti? French? Push? Gucci? Meek? Budden? Big Sean? Wale? Game? Jada? TI? Cam? Beans? All these new young boys seem to have beef with each other. The list could go on and on.

I never said rap isn't competitive I'm saying this idea that rap is the only competitive genre where artists openly beef and have issues, even at times to the point of violence, with each other simply isn't true.

And it tends to be the rule not the exception that the top artists have issues with each other because of how small those spaces are. Go through any genre and you'll see the same petty shit back and forth. The main difference with rap is that it makes into the actual music more, but that don't mean the same animosity doesn't exist between artist in other genres. Shit I already mentioned in this thread 2 of the biggest pop stars in the world spent the good part of the last decade openly hating each other.

Look at rock and roll and take a look at how many bands openly trash other bands and say they can't play, aren't talented, write trash music etc.
