Cole has Platinum sales on both albums he's dropped. Two documentary no features on any album or producers and no machine behind him. Jay doesn't promote him and let him do his thing and still he's sold as many as Kendrick if not more

I went with Top 25. Huge fan of Coles last 2 albums. tbh i never checked out Born Sinner or the one after. Loved Friday Night Lights and the Warm up though.
Yeah...he ain't got enough and it ain't set long enough for me to honestly rank him higher than 40...maybe 50
And I'm a fan. His best projects however is Warm Up, FNL, and FHD. His debut was meh, BS was meh, and the last joint is great for a concept but overall it was meh

Why does it have to specifically be Born Sinner or Sideline Story? I wasn't always a fan, but I listen to ALL J. Cole music, including/especially features. My fave album is 2014 FHD, platinum with no features btw, which was pretty solid work. You can listen to it all the way through without skipping tracks IMO. I love conscious records which is probably why I've gravitated to him so much. I aint trynna listen to a nigga adlib'n all over the track and talk about bad bitches and money all the time. Obv, we all don't share the same taste or opinions all the time which is fine, but as a fan I gotta stand behind him being more than a "meh". And I'd say the same for KDot as well.
What do you mean by time to digest? You mean not being a seasoned enough artist or you specifically haven't taken some leisure to actually listen to anything outside of the first couple of albums/mixtapes?
I never called him meh. I named 3 of his projects that I fuck with heavy af. I also named 3 that could have used a LOT more. Those were meh I fucks with his features also. More often then not, they are great verses
I mean digest as in he ain't been out long enough and his music hasn't set long enough for me to know if it's gonna stand the test of time. I remember being the biggest Juelz fan in the world. Yrs later I can barely spit the verses I thought was so good.
Again, I fucks with FHD. Front to back it slaps. Same for FNL. I'd put FNL against any album that came out post 2010. Def top 3 in the last 7 years. Maybe 4 lol.
I'm just saying, 1 or 2 great albums ain't enough to push the needle
