When did CDs stop selling?

One thing that has risen due to no more cds is the sales of vinyl albums though. Alot of artist are putting out vinyl versions of their projects now too

I miss going to Media Play to buy that album that's been anticipated for months or year. New release albums were like Jordans back in the day. I used to couldn't wait until my favorite artists or clique drop their album, so I can be one of the first to have it in school. Unwrapped the plastic from the cd, and pop it in the cd player while looking at the booklet to see all of the shout outs.

Yeah that was part of the ritual of copping new music and is what todays generation miss out on with downloading and streaming, its part of the fast food/throw away culture...

I didnt even realise my car didnt have CD player until after I had bought it smh

Yeah most music fans who still want to play CDs (or vinyl) have actual home sound systems set up these days, with separate specialised CD player, turntable, amps, speakers etc... The all in one CD players people had in the 2000s, like the Sony, Panasonic, Philips joints etc have long gone from homes... I know @Bed$tuy has a dope set up and is fellow Denon head like myself...
Yep my system is in good shape too.
I have Sade, Mariah Carey, Michael Jackson, and Nas albums on MiniDisc format which is very rare. I play those albums on my Denon MiniDisc Recorder.
You know most aint up on that tho.
See while most will talk and reminisce about CD's, Cassettes and stuff. Guys like you and me would know about Walkman MiniDisc & DAT Players.😆

Nasty thing is, alot of the music of yesteryear is NOT available online jus based off of my collection alone

Same with books

Were losing alot of shit!

Haha sh!t I dont even have a mini disk player anymore!!! I got some old mini discs somewhere though but they are mini discs I copied from my CDs... I dont think I ever bought an official album in mini disc format, did you even get proper art work???

Yes, these are official MiniDisc albums. The artwork is just as compressed as they do with Cassette albums. Record labels like Columbia released limited edition MiniDisc albums in the mid to late 90s. Mariah Carey, Nas, and The Fugees were part of the lineup.

I guess because Sony is part of Columbia... They will prolly be worth a pretty penny as time goes on, keep an eye on the values on Discogs...
