Awareness of GAD or general anxiety disorder and the meds that followed
Because the awareness just makes it easier to make sense of the behavior or provides an explanation which is comforting in itself before you actually address it
This especially. I occasionally partake in smoking weed every now and then but I don’t drink anymore.Sobriety.
Stopping drinking along with getting back into the gym has massively helped. I am starting to see some results, since giving up liquor.
i told my dad my anxiety has been making me wake up an hour before my alarm for 3 days straight so I’m tired afI defo got more anxious the older I got, being able to recognise that and speak to friends and family defo helps...
Its good that anxiety or mental health in general isnt such taboo subject these days and most people arnt told to just 'man up' when sh!t gets abit too much...
My therapist told me obvious shit but for some reason it helpedSometimes I really struggle with guilt when I just want something for myself.....not the kids or the Mrs... I went to a nice restaurant I been wanting to try...alone. The meal was great and most importantly, I shed the guilt and just enjoyed myself for a moment.
Agree on being able to let loose in some styleAlso going to watch live football/soccer everyother week, its not just about the football but you defo let loose...
Its a time when guys seem open up about sh!t, prolly because we sit next to eachother and not face to face lol
edit: @MrBeast yo technically your Dad has a point lol but thats the oldskool mentally... My Dad is the same, he had a really hard/tough life right from childhood to adulthood and he 'just got on with it'... thankfully my dukes is more understanding on these matters...

Goddamn @ several energy drinks a day WITH Coca ColaThat was one of my diagnoses, I'm just not taking meds for it. I learned to work through my anxiety issues but one of the biggest helps in that area was drastically reducing my caffeine intake. No more energy drinks for me, and I was tossin' back 2-3 cans a day along with several cans of Coca Cola. Now it's just black or green tea in the morning and that's it. Getting enough sleep was another big one 'cause while I was taking care of my wife I rarely ever slept long enough to hit REM sleep and that went on for 7-8 years.
