What was their best role: Michael B. Jordan

This was like any role where someone gets shot though. The Wire had some cringe worthy directing and acting. It seemed more for shock value imo which ruined the scene. They have a problem telegraphing deaths in the wire so it ruins the moment. Ricky getting popped in Boys in the Hood was done much better. Like Ricky was the lease one to die besides Tre. It was actually a sad scene. No diss but Wallace was another street kid that you expect to get popped. It was only a matter of time. I mean I knew alot of Wallaces and I wasn't surprised when someone shot them.

You can't say the show telegraphed, and say it did things for shock value...

A lot of the critiques you are giving it, is playing into it's strengths....

It was supposed to be honest and real.

You were supposed to know a kid like Wallace.

You were supposed to feel his story was tragic and doomed.

That's what resonates with the audience. The honesty

I think the acting was superb... But you entitled to your opinion

I hate when mcnulty and the cops had to always act drunk in like every ep.

Ppl faking drunk in film is the worst.

The Corner

But let's not derail the thread

We not derailing anything. We already discussed all 3 movies MBJ been in.

Never heard of the Corner. Says its 6eps about crack in BMore from same guy who did The Wire.

Considering every time I went out of state people said I talk like the wire....I think they did okay with the accents

Most of the secondary characters and background actors were actually from Baltimore. So you could hear it heavy in their voices

But you can tell who did poor accents from among the principle actors. The kid who played Namond, his accent was kinda terrible. And some of them didn’t even try to fake one.
