The diffidence being if you REALLY do the research you'll discover Obama HAS addressed issues that detrimentally affect the black community. Even if it that say ""For black people only!"" or YOU may not have personally benefited from it.

(Which many of you mean by "Obama NEVER did NOTHING for black people!"", just admit the shit already..sheesh!)

But even worst, what you out here whoring out your vote for nothing? Just happy to have a role in the white mans playground? No, fuck that, you should want something out of it. Even if not me directly, benefit my people as it will benefit me and mines later. So yes you're suppose to want to benefit from voting. That's why other groups vote and put money behind votes, cause they want to get shit done. That's what voting is about.

Anyway, not only I, but a few others posters already posted up that YES, people who voted for Obama DID indeed, get something out of. Even if they may not have personally benefited from Obama's polices. Those in their community did.

Example: healthcare....while the ACA isn't perfect it does indeed help and benefit those in our community. To say it doesn't is an outright lie.
It doesn't personally benefit me, because I'm a vet and the VA is sufficient enough for my healthcare needs. But I voted for Obama because healthcare reform would have a positive affect on those in my community (black people)

The same with issues like the minimum wage, fair housing, technical & jobs programs for the youth,etc. etc.
I'm personally good on this. But I'll cast my vote for those who will address and push for policy that will help others who are not (particularly those in the black community)

When I posted up all those businesses closing their door.Countless people losing their jobs & livelihoods. It doesn't have to be explained to me which group of people this will hurt the most. White people. (Yes, some blacks, but majority of white folk.)

The same when Obama and Holder pushed for prison reform and started their clemency/early release program. Because I RESEARCH and understand the issue...I know what group of people will be POSITIVELY affected the most from this. Poor low/income black men & women.

Knowing this I "got something out of my vote".

For me I need to see it say that. As I've posted already he had no problem being specific with fulfilling things for other groups of specific people.
Using all encompassing terms when we blacks are the ones with the unique situation is not enough. Not when it's us that are the targets of injustice.

Also, those examples you gave were things communities already had access to pre-Obama. State funded training for jobs, community out reach, housing programs, even community local churches offered similar programs already. You talking bout the ACA helped blacks while not being affected by it yourself. I'm a black man telling you first hand, second, and third that ACA is broken. All of my co-workers on jobs I'd had felt the same, from all colors of the rainbow. I didn't vote to work all week just to get subpar medical coverage for somebody elses sake.

Y'all can rally behind the man all you want. But truth is what we got from Obama was a bigger target on our back. He did not protect black citizen victims of police injustice and instead supported police efforts to wage war on us. Giving police a pass to keep up their bullshit and not taking a stand against their unions. Whatever good he did do, I'd give that up to have him make it clear targeting blacks would not be tolerated. With some consequences, some punishment, handed down to show for it.
