So yo..one of the young ladies of the forum posted a pic of herself. We as the men of the forum did what we do, but in a respect way. We are about uplifting and complimenting the women and sometimes we are cartoonish about it cause its who we are.

So one of the male members said why cant we just give a simple compliment, and we dont cause we are socially awkward. My counterpoint was nah, we are the socially secure cause we are ok with being awkward.

I say that to say this..last night I'm on reddit and see this cute young woman with freckles..I said to her



As you can see both comments were as the advice taken from the male member, meant to be seen as "socially acceptable"..

Notice the downvotes to the continued flattery..wondering why?





Who da fuck lies to themselves that they just want mundane flattery for glamour shots..how is that self deception normal?..how are we the socially awkward when shit like this is the standard to the "normal?"

But I would like to counter argument that it is a visual forum, so judgment is built in visually. As human beings we are naturally judgmental, its instinctively how we learn through observation. So in a sense they very much want to be judged, they just dont want to discourage people with less self confidence or less self esteem from participating. And that's all good, like you said their forum, their rule.

I think the overall point I'm trying to get to, is that when we spend so much of our moments in the day in an echo chamber of self deception, self deception becomes the norm. People who dont practice it to such a degree can be deem social awkward when in fact it's the opposite.
