Welcome To aBlackWeb

We need to have a discussion about the words, "My truth."

In this scenario, their truth is the truth. To say “my truth” is to suggest the abuser’s truth has validity when it doesn’t.
It does at first to the victim because instead of hating the person who did the victimization as they were wrong for doing this to me. They think, what did I do, that made them do this to me. It’s a very normal way that people who suffer victimization think. Thats why getting them to understand “my truth” is so important because the person who needs the most convincing of that truth is the victim.

Basically, another way of saying "my bullshyt".

It ain't backed up by facts/proof/THE truth or nothing. So I'm just gonna say "my truth".
