Gucci beats Jeezy and there in no denying that. Jeezy got a few hot albums that made an impact but overall career Gucci had the summer tapes/smashes every year easily for over a decade. People saying he got a billion songs and only a few are good are clearly in the race for their own dumb motive. Gucci has repeatedly brought mixtapes thats ride like albums and I remember mfs letting them birches ride. Writing On The Wall. BURRPRINT 3, Chicken Talk, Trap Back, etc. Let's cut the shit and call a spade a spade. I still remember how many Jeezy fans switched over to riding with Gucci more music wise in the long run and by some of the comments on here that still holds up.

Don't get me wrong Jeezy got his bag too(TM101 will forever be a classic to me) but that bag was smaller and for a shorter time. Gucci ended up running laps around him in the streets. I never seen so many people in 09 switch from Jeezy to Gucci fans just because Gucci was putting that pressure out left and right.

This might be the first time I agreed with you musically lol

but after speaking to a few guys from atlanta they said the same thing. 101 was huge for jeezy and it’s a classic but the streets always belonged to Gucci. He’s not called the Trap God just because it sounds cool.

Sure nationally Jeezy’s music reached more people and was bigger (signing to Def Jam really helps) but it watered down Jeezy’s music while Gucci’s stayed raw and gritty and hard. There’s a reason why Gucci influenced so many artists and so many producers thank him for the look

this is gonna be based on the audience so Jeezy naturally will probably win but if this was on a street level or even a more local one I know 100% Gucci would win

Why is this being repeated when it means nothing? Verzuz is 20 songs vs 20 songs, not lets see who has the most hits(streets or charts). Gucci having more hits just means more chances he wont play the right track against Jeezy's hits. Then take into account verzuz is a national stage, Jeezys hits are much bigger and hit more people in their time.

You might have a point if the competition was lets play bangers until one of them runs out, even then Jeezy has enough to keep going for a while.

Again, Jeezy top 20>Gucci top 20

Lmao at the streets.

The streets? Really the fucking streets?

Niggas in the streets of the south ain’t riding around playing Nas, Hov, Kendrick and them niggas is all time greats.

The streets don’t fucking matter. The streets like the most simplest music with a hard beat.

And I ain’t saying Jeezy some elite rapper but he has other qualities when it comes to rapping.

Y’all just stop with that street shit.

Jeezy stans seem a bit perturbed. If this is really the blowout y'all claim it is, y'all should just be chillin and waiting for the massacre to occur.

Okay.

Gucci still was hotter overall. Suburbs, streets, strip club, lounges, Applebee's, Chilis lol bro choose one Gucci still was hitting harder. Just scope the scene when it comes to Jeezy and Gucci. Most people side with Gucci expecially after 08. I know u don't fuck with Gucci so I expect the biased opinion but its plain as day what it is.

Jeezy dropped All There a few summers ago with Bankroll and tho that was a smash record to me mfs also acting like that 1 record brought Jeezy back from the dead.
