UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson fatally shot outside of Hilton hotel in Midtown in possible targeted attack

Seeing NYPD fail miserably to racially profile a white man giving me chills

I wish ya'll would really stop with this narrative

NYC is one of the most restrictive places when it comes to gun laws

there are plenty of other places with eased laws where this could've happened

but this was done to this CEO in NYC for a reason.....and lax gun regulation is just a straw man at this point
So to defend guns, you really acting like theres no such thing as traveling?

This is a good example of this countries fanaticism for guns.

LOL @ fanaticism for guns as if murder isn't already illegal

so it would've been better if he murdered the CEO using another method?

u don't see a coincidence that he shot the CEO in a place where it's least likely he would've been armed?

traveling has minimal impact when considering gun crime happens everywhere

ur irrational fear of firearms is not going to magically make them all disappear just because of more laws SMH 🙁

he was shot in the back so im not sure what bearing this has on any damn thing...
u don't think it encourages a shooter to feel confident that there won't be return fire

in a place where personally owned guns are restricted?

hypotheticals aside being shot in the back doesn't automatically mean he wouldn't have had the chance to shoot back

plus it's easier to have armed security if it's easier to have them be able to carry

vs. being in NYC where u need to go thru extra hoops to be armed

seems like dude planned things out to where he knew there wouldnt be armed security.. shot him in the back and at a distance in case he did turn around tho.

This is an assumption but I would think if a CEO of a health insurance company wanted armed security in NY he coulda got it without issue...

And you talking about NYC gun laws when NJ is right there like folks cant cross state lines with guns. Aint even gotta be Jerz.. dude coulda drove from anywhere with his gun so im not sure why NY gun laws keep getting brought up

Or maybe he was watching him & finally caught him a large congested city where he could escape without the need for a car.

Our countries massive gun violence problem is irrational fear? This why we in the situation we're in rn, you got it bro.

NY laws are brought up becuz of the likelihood bystanders will not be armed and possibly intervene

vs. in another state if u do a public shooting there is a higher probability someone else with CCW permit could shoot back

so of course doing a shooting like this in NYC matters

it is irrational fear when u are basically equivocating a relationship between gun ownership and this specific crime

and unless u believe no one should be able to possess guns (and that includes govt officials)

then ur argument is not rational when u call people fanatics just becuz they are willing take responsibility for their own security
