Look, was Trump directly responsible? Probably not. To someone’s earlier point, the chaos he brought could have indirectly contributed, but there’s no way to prove that.

Bottom line though, if Biden can be blamed for things totally outside of his control and people run with it, including people on this board, then Trump can too.

Had Trump come in saying he was going to focus on the FAA and safety, he’d have a leg to stand on and could even claim he just hasn’t had the time to do what’s needed to prevent this. But he didn’t, so this could have occurred at any point in the future and he would catch blame.

So you understand management is what I got from your post and thank you. Trump's name wouldn't even have heat on it if he didn't fire the guy who's job it was to take heat for airplane crashes. If you don't have a middle manager to take the L the L transfers to who's in charge this is not rocket science. Absolutely right. Once he takes that oath, he’s responsible whether he hired the people directly, fired people directly, etc.

And this is a lot different than people blaming Biden for inflation let’s say. The FAA and the military and all of their employees report into Trump directly as federal government agencies.

The problem with the "both sides" shit is it leaves an constant out for who is to blame. As long people keep going "well both sides are bad. They're both a cult" then neither will actually ever be accountable. And you also gotta have enough common sense to know when to read the room and know when that shit just doesn't make any sense to bring up or make a comparison on.

And when you're constantly both siding shit...then you also will never actually have a genuine discussion because your built in default is to never properly assign blame. It's an easy way to never actually have an opinion to stand on because you can always say "Well the other side would do that too" even when it's blatantly false. Especially when you're dealing with things that have blatantly racist overtones to them. That shit just comes off as condescending when you're speaking to the group most likely to be affected negatively.

Anyhoo....... Tarrifs start tomorrow depending on what's getting an exemption of course. If I was you I would go get some groceries and fill up on some gas while the prices are where they are now. Mexico gets us our oil and agriculture, Canada electricity, minerals, timber and oil as well. China everything else.
