Honestly it comes down to confidence in men and for women their issue is they project what they think a man is supposed to be (usually based on how their fathers treated them or lack there of). Most people don't go outside their social circle so they project onto certain types or look for material confirmation to be the basis of their projections (money, fly dresser, good looking, etc).

That's why chicks get surprised when certain dudes turn out to be assholes or trash. If you project Russell Willson onto a nigga like Future you're in for a rude awakening. Chicks get hurt and then say all men cheat and are bad.

A lot of people are unable to see past the veil of their confirmation bias and delusions.

It does applies to social interactions and dating, sadly.
