this is tough because 35 isnt really a monumental point

a LOT of people just start getting their shit together around 35

been thru a few jobs, few relationships, maybe even jail a few times

got some catching up to do but they're focused now....its about money and family

your stay in the house game on 100 so you pickin up a lil weight and shit lol

35 is a good spot to get it together....better late than never

Honestly, I can't even rock with this. All of the above shoulda happened in your 20's. Get it outcha system by the time 30 hits and get it together.

You was NEVER in me b

Never!

I don’t know what sick game is going on in here but I want no parts of it

Still working on your rap career.

I got a homie I went to high school with that's still working on "gettin out there". While we were in high school he recorded a track and managed to get it played on 107.5 WGPR in Detroit. In '95 I just happened to be over by his way and stopped by and ended up driving him around Detroit with his freshly pressed EP on vinyl, dropping 'em off at a coupla radio stations and clubs. Lost touch with dude after 2000 or so, but after deep diving down the Youtube rabbit hole I ran cross his acct and videos. Dude is STILL rhyming and making his own beats.

At the same time, ANOTHER cat I went to high school with is still rhyming and releasing music as well as this cat Zo that used to work up at Tel 12 Mall at the same time me and Houseshoes worked there (I posted Zo's shit in the Underground hip hop thread last night)

Truthfully, if you have a job, and hip hop is your passion I don't see anything wrong with jumping on the mic every now and then.

Mines...still needing approval from other people on how to run YOUR life.

mannnn I got like 5 homies I can not look in the eye anymore when they pass me a cd

they quit asking me on fb I dont share shit

I got a friend i grew up with that we sort of lost contact over the years but always had eachother on social media. Hes been selling weed and dabs and i used to go through him a few times a year when i needed and hes been going hard on his "rap career". Has all these shows, but they're technically open mics. Has one of the worst stage presences i've ever see (through video), and been bragging about how hes one of the few anchorage rappers thats been signed. Dude met someone through soundcloud/social media who lives in South Carolina i think and is his "manager" and the "Label" he's signed to is the manager's label, but its clearly just some sort of internet label and a platform to get your music available on itunes or apple music or some shit. I want to hit him sometimes but dudes pursuing a dream and i shouldnt hate that lol. Won't ever catch me playing his music though.
