OPINION The Wire - A Hindsight Discussion

Stringer really outsmarted himself getting Omar involved in trying to eliminate Brother Mouzone. Did he really think Omar would trust him with everything that's gone on between them?

I listen to The Wire: Way Down in the Hole Podcast with Jemele and Van Lathan after every episode. I like the way they break down shit

Kinda wild to see the type of mistakes Stringer made. Dude thought Marlo could be reasoned with. Miscalculated in that arena just like he did with Politics/Business with Senator Davis

How did Stringer not know something was up on that balcony with Avon when Avon asked when and where the meeting would be. That might be scene of the season
Didn't Stringer give up where the meeting was at himself he should have been suspicious about Avon wanting to know the time. All Omar needed was the location anyway, dude used to staking out places for hours

maybe he felt avon was gonna finally come to understand what he was trying to do and wanted to see for himself.

I don't know, String had let it be known he had D'Angelo killed and had already put in motion of getting Avon locked up so who cares if Avon came to understand since Avon wasn't gonna be around anymore. String was supposed to be the smart one but he was real dumb those last few episodes he was in
