Being honest, I'm not really sure how you read my post as anything but what I meant it, but I assure you that the way I explained it is how I meant it.
On the topic, we agree that preventing pregnancy is the responsibility of both parties.
I can't say that I like a woman having the ability to unilaterally decide whether a baby should live or die, but I can accept it.
However, I do believe that if a woman has absolute power over the decision making. She has to bear absolute responsibility for her decision.
To me, if a woman tells a man she's pregnant and he agrees to be there for the child, then he's on the hook for that child whether it be voluntary or child support.
If the woman tells the man and he tells her he doesn't want the baby. Then she can use that information to make her decision. If she chooses to have the baby knowing that the father doesn't want it, then she bears the responsibility to take up the slack that his absence leaves. If she chooses not to include him in the decision at all, same thing.
It's weird that women feel they should be able to exclude men for their decision making process but then force men to bear the consequences of that decision.
