The Parent Thread

My oldest is getting sent home from school early today. She hasn’t been doing well mentally the last couple of days. So today she was talking to one of her friends about how she was feeling and one of her male classmates said “why don’t you just kill yourself”. My wife is picking her up now and I’m just so pissed off. These kids don’t know that words can hurt people, especially those that are dealing with depression and anxiety.

Kids can be very cruel with what they say. Hopefully the school pulled that kid to talk about saying something that completely inappropriate.

She told the teacher and I believe that the teacher talked to the student. I will find out more tomorrow.
