Man I hope she continues to get work. Black actresses be getting these awards then never sniff an Oscar again. Almost be lucky enough to end up in a Tyler Perry flick.

Monique black balled herself with that rant on Netflix, and Halle has been on the shelf for a minute.

Regina probably because she still getting roles that might be Oscar worthy. Lupita just been in Black Panther and Us if I’m not mistaken, not anything Oscar worthy yet.
Halle had a steep falloff after her Oscar.
Monique is Monique, but she still wasn’t given a chance. Maybe personal, maybe not.
Jennifer Hudson hadn’t been in anything Oscar worthy since her win.
Octavia Spencer hasn’t been in anything Oscar worthy since the win either. She was nominated for The Shape of Water, but that’s it.
White women you see their names pop up fairly regularly.
