I think it should have been Angela, but even if they thought EEAaO should get the nod, how was it not the daughter. Her performance was 1000 more substantial than JLC's.

One of them “Lifetime Achievement” awards tbh.

Like how they gave Denzel his 1st for Training Day, when that wasn’t even near his best performance and he should’ve had like 3 of them already, anyway.

Maybe, but Denzel actually gave an Oscarworthy performance. JLC wasn't even the best option from her movie in that category. lol
