The Official World Politics Thread

That sounds goods but it’s just not realistic. Majority of the country isn’t ready for that and it probably scares them.

Moving the country progressive is going to be a slow drip. But it starts with beating trump.

This is what we said in 2016 ...

You know what the country is tired of?

Being shitted on by massive wealth inequality, the worst healthcare system in the world, and a congress that can’t do anything.

Be honest - “slow change” will never get us there. And I candidate pushing that may not energize the base enough to beat Trump.

Another unfortunate truth is a candidate that energizes just the base isn’t going to beat trump.

Obamacare is an example of slow change.now we know that Obamacare doesn’t come close to other western countries healthcare.

In the beginning most Americans were afraid of it and against. Now those same people like it and or need it.

Those people are a sizable part of the electorate in important states.

We are talking about a President, not legislation.

The country wasn’t “ready” for Trump either.

Why did he get elected?

Was it preaching “safe”, status quo ideas?

Or was it radical change that actually affects people and their lives?

Put aside the fact that Trump is a con man and a liar. Those issues are REAL even if Trump isn’t.

A corporate Democrat preaching the status quo isn’t going to speak to them.

They would probably rather vote for Trump than a Democrat talking about “middle class tax cuts” and the same healthcare system that (literally) bankrupts 500,000 people a year, and an economic system where wages have remained stagnant for 40 years, or Trillions spent on military contractors and endless wars, or Pell grants in the face of a mountain of student loan debt ...

Nah. That’s not going to work

Dems need to quit being pussy tho straight up. Several candidates on both debate nights said the others need to quit spouting Republican talking points to argue against each other.

Dems keep letting the republicans set the stage and just reacting and its frustrating as fuck

I noticed them using GOP talking points while at the same time throwing Obama (a popular president) under the bus

Yo these niggas getting ready to rob us...Trump is for sure losing the popular vote in 2020 by wide margins ...but the Russians will do their thing between Moscow Mitch not doing anything about it and Trump installing a patsy at National Security...Russians bout to hack the fuck outta our shit ....and the new National Security Director gonna come out and say nothing happened....games beyond the game

That doesnt bother me at all but Comey should go kick rocks on the moon with no wifi
It bothers me because our leaders are playing to the lowest denominator in our country. The least intelligent and least mature of us. Instead they should be an example of maturity and intelligence leading us to where we want to be.

Trump has exposed that the majority of our country is immature people and if you dumb yourself down enough you can get their attention and votes.
