The Official NFL Offseason Thread

They making a simple thing more difficult than it needs to be.

All they need to do is go back to what they were doing before the past decade or so. If they're going to play the national anthem (which they shouldn't even need to play before a sporting event) then play it while the players are in the locker room ...before player introductions.
That worked for years but the NFL always gotta mess shit up. They don't wanna back the players in their stance and then try to be on some authoritarian shit.

Just play the damn anthem before player introductions/before it's time for the players to get on the field .

Good, I actually would like to see Luck get back on track to being a top 5 QB like he was.

I'm still trying to understand this. Dude took a pornstar....out on a date....to eat...at a restaurant? :niggawhat:

All he had to do was dm her to get her to his house or hotel or some other ish. Legit buying her food at some LA establishment like he can take her home to mom and dad lol.

I get if he was trying to fulfill some teen fantasy cos he maybe used to get off to her work on pronhub, xvids etc but c'mon mayne
Jimmy G could get any single (and some taken) girls in the state of California and the New England area if he wanted to and he decided to take Jasmine Chiquito's mom out on a date lol

:hahaha:
Pornstars are people too brah....hahahaha

Dolphins owner Stephen Ross attempts to clarify team's national anthem policy

The NFL has backed down on its controversial policy... for now. USA TODAY Sports' Lindsay H. Jones explains why. USA TODAY

Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross said the reference in a club document to potentially fining or suspending players who protested during the national anthem was merely a “placeholder” until further decisions could be made.

“The one line sentence related to the national anthem was a placeholder as we haven’t made a decision on what we would do, if anything, at that point,” Ross wrote in a statement.

Ross claimed the clause was included in a broader discipline policy the team was required to submit to the NFL before players report to training camp next week. The Associated Press on Thursday acquired a copy of the document and reported the inclusion of potential discipline for violations of the league’s national anthem policy.

In May, NFL owners passed a new policy that would require players to stand on the sideline during the playing of the national anthem. If players did not want to stand, they would have to remain in the locker room. Teams could be fined if players demonstrated while on the sideline.

Owners passed this policy without consultation from the NFL Players Association, and the union recently filed a grievance against the league in relation to the policy.

The NFL and NFL Players Association announced Thursday night that no new rules would be created or enforced in the next several weeks while the two sides negotiate.

“I’m pleased that the NFL and NFLPA are taking a pause to figure out a resolution to this issue,” Ross wrote. “I am passionate about social justice, and through the Miami Dolphins and the creation of (Ross Initiative in Sports for Equality), will continue to use the unifying power of sports to improve race relations and drive social progress.”

At least three Dolphins kneeled during The Star-Spangled Banner last year as a way to protest police brutality and racial inequality. Only one of those players, wide receiver Kenny Stills, remains on the roster. Stills started 16 games and caught six touchdowns last season.

All right young man...time to get out there and earn that money. Get OBJ extended and you got a hell of a core for the next 3-4 years. Barkley, OBJ, Sheppard and Engram.

The Giants could fuck around & get a wild card depending on how Eli goes. If he balls out like he used to especially thanks to a better running game.. fuck.

Hot Take: Eli Manning won't make it through the season as the Giants starting QB. I think Davis Webb takes the job from him before the end of the season. Healthy OBJ, Webb with an arm that can make the throws Eli can't at this point.....I think Webb takes his job.

Browns wide receiver Josh Gordonannounced that he would not be with the Browns for the start of training camp in a Twitter post on Monday due to what he called “a part of my overall health and treatment plan.”

Gordon, who has been suspended several times for violations of the league’s substance abuse policy, said that he’s been able to “utilize the resources available to me that will ensure my well-being on and off the field” with help from the Browns. General Manager John Dorsey released a statement a short time later affirming the team’s support for Gordon and announcing the roster move the team made to reflect his absence.

“We will continue to support Josh as he receives the care needed to maintain his progress,” Dorsey said. “We are going to respect his privacy while he is away from the team. Josh will be placed on the non-football illness reserve list until he is ready to return.”

Gordon is eligible to be activated from the NFI list at any point and indicated that he expects to be back with the team in time for the regular season.
