Right call. Volk fought a good fight. The problem is he let himself get to a point where he needed a KO, and that's hard to get when you're fighting up a weight class.

I look at this the same way as when Izzy went for the LHW championship. Volk lost but it doesn't take away from his greatness. He was fighting at a bit of a disadvantage and at the top levels of the fight game, that's enough to keep you from winning out.
