Trying to bring the magic back.

The problem is we've gone more than the entirety of the Infinity Saga without a single Avengers team-up flick or even an X-Men joint, which is what the people been wanting for years on end. Seventeen movies and shows in Phase 4 ALONE if you count Werewolf By Night and the Guardians Christmas show (both nearly an hour long so I'm counting them). Add to that the three Phase 5 movies and four shows and we're now at 24 movies and shows without a single Avenger's/XMen level team-up flick.

Yeah, bring the Russos back, but quit fuckin' around and drop the shit niggas been waiting for.

Truth be told, they both need each other. Marvel needs the Avengers films to be a sure thing and they have experience working with huge casts. Russos haven't done anything thats been a hit since Endgame (Extraction doesn't count, they were producers on that). Cherry was trashed by critics and The Gray Man is average at best imo.

Thats exactly what they are gonna do lol

Feige wasnt trying to bring the Russo Bros back despite the fact they initally pitched a whole story for Secret Wars. Feige essentially came crawling back when shit started going downhill and they had to start course correcting.

Making good films on the scope of Infinity War and Endgame was pretty much unprecedented. I can get not wanting to be limited to a particular set of talent, but in those cases if they found success it probably would have been prudent to keep the ones that brought that success for as long as possible.
It wasn't just those 2 movies. It was a great buildup that they haven't been able to replicate

Yeah, but the Russos weren't responsible for the entire buildup. They did do the heavy lifting on tying everything together, which is what they are going to be tasked with doing for the next Avengers movies even if the buildup hasn't been as great.

I think what Mike is saying is that, yeah they were able to tie things together but they were able to do that because of Spidy, BP, GOTG etc.

The emotion of them being snapped away and their return, probably isn't there, if not for those other movies.
