It became about US politics when people ran entire campaigns around covid 19, mask wearing, mandates and vaccines. The shit is disgusting and a huge part of why it's affecting the US as badly as it has.
It's funny bc the first known case of omicron in the US was a fully vaxxed person who brought it here from S. Africa. And the majority of the first week omicron cases, before the wave, were in fully vaxxed, some of them boosted.

Along with Omicron supposedly overtaking Delta which study after study is proving to be much milder and closer to a cold than any other variant thus far.

Their whole selling point was u get vaxxed u can live a normal life. It was a big reason a lot of people got it. Now everyone acts like it was supposed to be this way all along.

Covid as we've already seen over the past 2 years is very dangerous...the people in control of the government consider people not spending money even more dangerous so they're going to stretch out putting restrictions as long as they can to avoid any semblance of another shut down. Same with the vaccines...them putting the mandates that you have to be vaccinated to enter certain places is also all about money. Don't get the severity of covid confused with the desire to keep capitalism going strong.

Yeah as of the last few weeks the vaccinated make up most of the covid positive cases here. The unvaccinated still use the most icu beds by a large margin but this shit is basura.
I've said it in other threads. All they can do is try to achieve herd immunity at this point and try to suppress death. But they can't say that shit out loud cause it means they've decided on what's an acceptable loss of lives. The natural immunity the only way to stop it. This wont be over until we all catch this shit. So they gonna variant us to death, lockdown, reopen 10 fold, rinse and repeat.
