Bro you know what sample sizes and statistics mean. Of course they’re not testing every sample for which variant is present. Just of the tests that have been taken, and of the sample size taken from those tests, 73% are from the Omicron variant.

Oh so you don’t think Omicron has spread that fast? Or that it’s not real?

It is a new variant, which is the result of a mutation in someone that got spread to others.

And no Delta didn’t go away, it’s just that a lot of new cases are the result of the Omicron variant. Only one can enter so Omicron is getting in there more than Delta now. How and why I don’t know.

UK reported 14 omicron deaths as of today. No word on their vax status. But I'd be willing to bet if they were unvaxxed it'd be plastered across the media.
