The official COVID-19/Coronavirus Discussion Thread...aka I hope I don't get the Rona

WASHINGTON — Two departing Food and Drug Administration regulators argued in a review published Monday that none of the data on coronavirus vaccines so far provided credible evidence in support of booster shots for the general population. Their assertion revealed significant disagreement between career scientists at the agency and top Biden health officials, who have already started planning a broad booster campaign for this fall.

Why would they be at odds with Biden so much they resign?
Not only that, many reports say this is only "the straw that broke the camel's back"

Three other FDA officials left months ago bc they were adamantly against FDA approval of a non Covid related drug

It was an Alzheimer drug that showed little to no benefit and serious side effects

*Mandate vaccines on all medical staff*
*Bitch about shortage of staff when some walk off the job after u forced them to*

Makes a lot of sense
Let’s be honest though, you can’t have people responsible for the health of others out here putting people at risk. Natural immunity should be considered of course, and maybe a daily test could be an alternative, but they can’t be taking care of sick people while possibly having Covid. They’re just naturally around people that are more susceptible to complications.

The number includes people who had been infected before they received their second dose.

Official figures show 640 double vaccinated Covid deaths in England in 2021Statistics back up scientific warnings about the continuing Covid threat for fully inoculated people

More than 600 people in England who had received both Covid shots died after contracting the virus during the first half of this year, newly released statistics have shown.

The number includes people who had been infected before they received their second dose.

The ONS said there were 256 "breakthrough deaths", a term used for someone testing positive for the first time 14 days after their second vaccination dose.

Men accounted for 61.1 per cent of such deaths.

Over three quarters of these deaths (76.6 per cent) occurred in those who were clinically extremely vulnerable.

More than 43 million people have been fully vaccinated in the UK.

The figures show the risk of death involving Covid-19 is consistently lower for people who receive two vaccinations compared with one or no vaccination.

From January 2 to July 2, there were 51,281 Covid-related deaths registered in England, according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS).

Of the fatalities, 640 (1.2 per cent) had been given both shots.

A total of 458 people passed away after the 21-day mark following their second shot while 182 people died within three weeks of being double vaccinated.

This is why it's important to read past the headline...1.2%...

I agree w that, but if they included natural immunity exceptions this probably wouldn't be as big a problem

I think it would be though. Most people who are against taking the vaccine do not take that stance because they think they have natural immunity. It’s usually a distrust or personal freedom argument for them.

What I'm saying is if some of the hospital staff have natural immunity, so u give them an exemption to not get a shot, they wouldn't walk off the job over a vaccine mandate. Which would minimize staff shortages some. To what extent idk.
