The official COVID-19/Coronavirus Discussion Thread...aka I hope I don't get the Rona

Fauci was saying this morning that a study came out that said someone who caught Covid and got 1 shot of the vaccine had double the protection of someone who never caught it and had two shots.

He didn’t say much more with regard to natural protection vs vaccine, but I think that’s a strong case that natural immunity is pretty strong.

I read something similar yesterday in that it basically acts as a booster shot for those who've already had covid. What I'm wondering is how it may affect those with long term covid who are still experiencing the effects of the disease

Long before covid hit the US has been known to be one of the most unhealthy countries on the planet. So knowing this of course these numbers would be higher and would also speak to the idea that people need to be that much more vigilant in their efforts to make sure they're protected because of the vast majority in this country being unhealthy. That same stat can be used to emphasize the purpose of people in the US needing to be vaccinated. I'm not familiar with how other countries are listed in terms of their health status but it would be interesting to see a comparative model done
UK public health released that study I posted pages back in this thread that showed ages 50 and up deaths between fully vaxxed and non vaxxed were neck and neck (fully vaxxed had one more death than non vaxxed over 50).

What I took from it is, those people even with underlining conditions would've faired better had they been vaccinated.
U was the main one avoiding reading the study 🤔

I read the part that was highlighted sir

Alot of the questioning reminds me of the shit I read a few years back when I fell into a rabbit hole of reading about the scientist, Giancarlo Fracastoro, who first spoke about germ theory and epidemiology. Alot of people swore dude was straight up crazy and wanted him locked up for it. It's wild how those same attitudes towards science and changing research still exists even with proof to the contrary

Yeah you go into the hospital with covid symptoms and they'll send you home with some fruit and vegetables as the way to beat a respiratory disease. Makes sense

You sound fucking stupid dear no bs. Having healthy diet, boosting immune system etc. would only help as form of defense and help recovery. You go to the doctor with the virus they better give you something else besides what you coulda did yourself anyway. Folks play silly like everything has to go to extreme smfh
