The official COVID-19/Coronavirus Discussion Thread...aka I hope I don't get the Rona

Thread is fucked up on so many levels. It's basically 2 groups of people thinking their special cause their either vaccinated or unvaccinated.

Newsflash ain't none of yall special or smarter than the other.

Who the fuck said they were special or thought so?

morgan, you care enough to engage in the conversation...which should be ok

I was merely giving you the other side of the coin to your response. Doesnt have to be an either/or approach to this discussion b

I'm not really engaging to be honest cause I'm really not invested in having any type of back and forth about this subject.

More than anything I really don't care about peoples reasons for or against being vaccinated.

It really boils down for me that if a person wants to or is vaccinated great for them and whatever reasons that had for doing. If a person doesn't want to be vaccinated great for them and whatever reasons they have for not doing it.

It's weird as fuck to me all the attitudes being displayed IMO for people choosing to do whatever they choose to do with their life same as every other aspect of life we all deal with.

I would agree, but this is one of those times that their actions (or inactions) actually CAN affect people’s lives.

This and drunk driving are the few times I gotta speak up and tell a muhfucka, “what you’re doing (or not doing) is a bit selfish and the Science proves it.”

Well people are more invested in this one because it's finally becoming clear to many just how much people decisions can affect the lives of everyone around them. So they feel more inclined to express their opinions on it. Having an "I don't care" or "It's all about me" attitude, while being true to being American, has also been a major reason as to why this entire thing has gone as long and bad as it has.

This is a perspective but understood🤝🏾

Ehhhhh
Kinda true

from what I understand 10-15 days after infection . It’s said you can’t spread it.
A national lockdown early on and stopping incoming flights or quarantining those that do enter , could have done wonders IMO.

After 500 days of covid 19, on a global scale we can conclude:

- There is no need to get vaccinated for the Rona if you already caught the virus - actually CDC policy in many nations - due to the given that the natural immunity one gets from an infection is equal or even better than the vaccines that are currently out. Studies from The Netherlands (with study groups dating back since the beginning of the outbreak) actually back that claim up with science which is the reason I haven’t taken any vaccine for covid so far because it’s my governments policy that I shouldn’t because I already caught the virus … After 500 days there have only been 4 reinfection cases( in a country of 17/18 million people!).

I didn’t verify it yet - because fuck Israel! - but according to an Israeli study (mostly Pfizer BioNtech) people who are unvaccinated but caught the Rona already are 7 times better protected against getting reinfected and against the Delta and Lambda variants …

maybe that’s news to some of y’all, but there actually are countries out there that are going for herd immunity through a combination of natural immunity and vaccination… probably difficult to spot between all the political and tv Rona violence… but surprising considering that half of y’all thought Shaq was the most famous person on earth lol.

- 99. Something % on a global scale - so I’m not talking about obese young folk from America that end up dying with covid - isn’t fazed by the Rona. Yes people of all ages are dying due to Covid worldwide but y’all are acting like it’s Ebola when it obviously isn’t the case. This is a virus where approximately one third of the infected do not even realize they have or had it…

This is the data from The Netherlands, population density is amongst the highest in the world, comparable to New York City:

This is from the Dutch CDC, a CDC that doesn’t flip flop based on whoever is running the administration Like its US counterpart lol.

It’s amazing how political and polarizing covid is and became in the US .Mofos are talking about it’s ‘the pandemic of the unvaccinated’ nah bitch , it’s the pandemic of the ‘at risk’ people that end up flooding the hospitals which causes the regular care to stop and fuck up the healthcare facilities entirely which lead to lockdowns and so on. How many doctors and specialists does your town/region have per capita? Lot of nations got exposed - including the US - for having sub par healthcare.

When the shit first hit here , I happen to be in the ER.
It was mostly elderly coming in.
They had me masking up early.

Do you realize that this is exactly why people are pushing for vaccinations? If the vaccine makes it so if people do catch Covid then they won't be being put into hospitals and over working an already exposed lack of ability of hospitals to to care for these people then that increases the incentive to get vaccinated. People in the US already knew the health care system here was garbage and this has been a topic of conversation for a long ass time...covid just let the rest of the world know that too

No that’s the reason you and other logically thinking folks might be pushing for the vaccine but obviously not the reason JnJ and co are doing it nore your current administration. There have been no drastic and fundamental changes to your nations overal healthcare system to improve said shitty healthcare system, just temporary solutions/bandaids in the form of vaccines and shit but when a even more dangerous virus - or mutation that would break through the vaccines - would roam the world we would still be ill prepared and we would be back to square one …

You can’t have your cake and eat it too …

That's a gat damn lie.

What the fuck are you talking about?

Do you know how many relatively young healthy, unvaccinated ppl are getting sick af rn. And its completely unnecessary.

You out here spreading misinformation like a motherfucker
Also asymptomatic spreaders..its notnjust about you.. yall got more pafience than me fo be responding to ignorance..

You can advocate for people to take the vaccine to keep the overwhelming of the current healthcare system down, while also advocating that the healthcare system still needs improvement. It's not an either/or thing. Both are true and both need to be done.

Yes and obviously both are occurring right now right?

Not like 100s of billions have been invested in companies that actually benefit from and need the current shitty healthcare system to stay the way it is right lol …

were to old to be naive fam…

the problem is that people actually believe a respiratory virus can be bested through vaccination, totally disregarding the given that naturally, a respiratory virus gives no fucks about you being vaccinated or not and will mutate regardless rendering the currently available vaccines obsolete… The Pfizer vaccine is already less effective against the Delta variant and the Delta variant is just the beginning given the fact that the vast majority of the world isn’t vaccinated and won’t be for years to come giving the Rona free roam to mutate etc. This is the reason why we will never best the other less severe respiratory virus - influenza - that has been around for centuries …

we need to drastically change our health care systems and accept that the Rona is endemic .

But that shit is never going to happen as long as the likes of JnJ, BioNtech etc are calling the shots in their respective industries …

so how come 9% of the people currently in the Dutch hospitals are fully vaccinated and 14% partially?

Not gonna google translate all that shit but obviously vaccinated folks are still getting hospitalized regardless …

edit : I live in Holland and am a native speaker, Im not translating that shit for y’all cause it would obviously take some effort Im to lazy to do now lol. Check your local CDC website for their respective nrs …

I’m not going to look it up but the Dutch, Swedish and other CDC websites display all the hospital occupation, admission nrs, ranked and marked by age group, vaccination status , deaths, long covid etc, Id reckon the US equivalent displays similar stats so there would be no need to post some sketchy shit from mediate about an ‘internal’ CDC doc lol. Just post the actual CDC nrs…
