The official COVID-19/Coronavirus Discussion Thread...aka I hope I don't get the Rona

China took serious measures to combat the virus.
Question is, will the US do the same?
Can the US do the same?
How many people can actually afford to be quarantined?
Are our medical resources even properly equipped for this?
Health insurances, prescriptions cost, and all that red tap are another factor.

Also, this would be the 3rd, or maybe 4th, sudden outbreak I've read about.
Each one disappeared just as fast as it showed up.
I admit, a part of me is still a bit skeptical of all this.
I'm no scientist, so is it even normal for a virus to mutate this quickly?
 
I‘m not to the point of being ‘scared’ of catching this shit but I do live in LA where apparently it’s a state of emergency out here. Shits getting sold out at stores out here..

I’m somewhat of a germaphobe already

I already cough & sneeze in to my arms

wash my hands frequently

wipe down surfaces before I touch them when I’m at work (at the airport)

wipe down my phone and iPad after I get home

and I usually sanitize my hands before I touch anything in my car

Don’t know what else we’re supposed to do to try and avoid this shit.
 
Agreed everyone should take the necessary precautions in case you or someone in your house gets sick and you have to self quarantine.

Wash ya hands frequently and keep ya hands out ya face(eyes, nose, mouth etc.)

That being said...

and this may seem like im joking but for real...

out of all the people that have died... can anyone confirm that any of the casualties have been black? Nah for real tho...
 
Also this situation let me know of the people who don’t wash their hands

People crying about sanitizer being sold out when the best thing to do is simply washing their hands for 20 seconds throughout the day

Can’t wash your hands all the time yo between the time u find a sink u touching mad germ infested areas

Should only really need the sanitizer for when ur out and about and there's no soap/water available lol

It mutates as it spreads. While our bodies are the same...We are each made up differently...
My flu may be different than your flu.

The problem is this is getting worse as it goes from what I'm told. Instead of weaker.
