Neither candidate is having a serious discussion about reparations. This may be in hopes that those discussions will be taken more seriously when the parties see the low voter turnout. Of course that gives other demographics more voting power so it's more of a moral victory.

It wont. They just gonna shift they focus to another demo(latinos) like you alluded to
 
The Muslim population made an effort to make a statement by voting uncommitted over what's going on in Gaza.

Didn't change a damn thing.

Whoever has the money has the power to influence. If all you can offer is a vote, all u get is promises and excuses.

It's not happening get over it. All these politicians are going to do is continue to kick that can down the same road.
