I think there's another transfer clause in this contract that city has to accept first which will make him move to Real/Barca in 3-5 yrs time for 170-250m. I've heard some rumors about this awhile ago and that might be the reason the deal hasn't been done yet.

That way we can buy players that play in certain portions (not just for the sake of their names and rep that dont actually suit us), then when a player gets injured or suspended we can slot them in etc like Liverpool and City can do atm...
