Wembley Euro finals in July was a super spreader event beyond proportions and there was little disregard to the number of fans flying, taking trains, buses etc here there and everywhere to fulfil a "romanticised" fantasy of having a tournament in 11 countries and 11 cities.
AFCON will only be 1 country and 5 cities.
I get that the domestic leagues were done come Euro 2020, but these European clubs do need to chill with their statements when it comes towards releasing their African players because at the end of the day, it all comes down from an underlying lack of respect that they have for African football in general

That’s the thing that has been bothering me. The African nations have said this is the coolest months to play AFCON and that they can’t play it in the summer because it is too hot. The managers of these teams want to go to FIFA to ban some of the players to play in the tournament. It’s just plain disrespect.Preach!
