I get you point but your clearly missing the most important point. The owners need footballers. Footballers are born from the common man sending their kids, installing the love of the game into their kids. And then financing it from your common mans wage.

The average Joe fan really overestimate his influence on his clubs these days. People don't understand how rich these club owners really are and they will make bank regardless if the stadiums are empty or not. If he supported a team like St. Pauli he would have a point but thats not the case here.
